Overcharging the Federal Government is a crime, as I understand. If this fraudulent coding issue is not resolved ASAP, I will report the case to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)!
Office manager tried to re-categorize a nose endoscopy as a surgery, in order to rip-off the Blue Cross insurance and the patient. By definition, endoscopy is not a surgery, unless there is also a surgery done. There was no incision or laparoscopy, just a scope pushed into my nose. Here is a medical know how about endoscopy:
“Endoscopy is a procedure that uses a scope to examine or treat organs inside your body. Some endoscopies can be done without surgery, but others may require a small incision or a laparoscopy.”
Again, the Office Manager at South Florida ENT Assoc. falsely entered an incorrect code to charge more dollars to both the unaware Blue Cross and the patient, who was not even informed of the additional cost (until a secondary bill was sent).
I called the ENT billing office, they cared less about what Federal Blue Cross said. The billing is outsourced, so they have very little incentive to correct the problem, and it was the doctors office that incorrectly coded the visit.
Called again the ENT manager, who was away, but either the message wasn’t relayed or the manager is negligent, the least.
It is clearly a fraud that the Federal Government (DOGE) should investigate! I am sure that many old patients don’t even realize that a simple code how much loss it generates to the US taxpayers!

I been a patient for over 2yrs now and it’s unfortunate that I am having to leave this bad review. The doctors and staff are pleasant nice people but they do not follow through with patients phone calls and requests for help. The worst thing is they tell you as an appeasement that someone will get back with a response but never do. I recently had procedures involving spinal tap, MRI and CT scans that left me worse than I already was and I called the doctor the following day and the next and next day for a prescription to ease my vomiting and dizziness and after 4 days of not getting help I had to call my pcp for medications. My condition is severe and this procedure was ordered December 2024 and it took 3mo to get it scheduled, Feb 2025 with many unanswered calls in between to find out what is going on with the order. It took over 2wks to get an appointment to review the tests with the doctor but this is something that the doctor could have done over the phone within a couple of days, totally unnecessary waiting for an appointment that answered nothing and to refer me out for a second opinion. Today I called bc of severe abdominal pain that extends to my back and again I was told the doctor will call you back. I’m still waiting with severe pain that has been going on since the cisternogram procedures. I feel terrible leaving this review but it’s really pathetic that this group not be concerned for their patients.

The receptionist, Paola, provided excellent service by attending to me promptly and communicating effectively. Dr. Foster did an outstanding job clearing and examining my ears, and they feel much better now.
