My Caregiver is most aware of my norms. She knows what my usual vital signs are and what my normal limits should be. She was instrumental in the early detection of my developing Serotonin Syndrome. Because she had been watching my vital signs and my behavior she was able to show the doctor the downward spiral and over what period of time. This helped her determine the best course of treatment for something that had just become life threatening.
My nurse was aware of medication interactions so when I related the symptoms of the serotonin Syndrome she knew exactly what to expect and look out for. She was so aware that she was able to tell me what additional symptoms to look out for.
