The facility itself looks fine. The new DON … is not. Expect frequent changes (:
I’d like to give this place for where I have been staying for over 5 years a five star review. I have CIDP which affects your immune system, muscles, MS, and the start of Lou Gehrig’s disease. I am fully cognitive fortunately, but need the personal attention with a sit to stand machine, a shower chair to go to the bathroom, and showering. In addition, I need to be fed because I have limited mobility of my fingers and hands and also have the use of an electric wheelchair due to the paralysis of my legs. From the management, nurses, and CNA’s I am fortunate that they do an outstanding job in my care. I also have, they say, the cleanest room in the facility because the cleaning department does an outstanding job. The food is okay and several meals meet my expectations but I know it is not a restaurant. They are always answering my call light when needed, in a very timely manner as well. As a former athlete in high school and college, the physical therapy/occupation therapy department lead by Chuck, which I have been using, is truly phenomenal and top tier. The facility inside is first class. The air conditioning in my room has always performed well and exceeded my expectations. They are now getting away from having agency people, and with the new administrator Katrina, and are looking to make activities better and doing additional things such as cookouts, games, and special events etc, to make it enjoyable for all patients. In a nutshell, I believe they will build a great team of people who will help everybody to grow better, not only staff wise, but patient wise as well. If you are considering a first class palliative/rehab facility, this is the facility you should consider. I recommend it very highly.

Great staff, and great kitchen crew! This is one of the only facilities that has a taco night!
The current administrator we have has been the best so far, Angie. She hosted a gift giveaway during Christmas, and has lunch sometimes for the employees. She has a strong focus on patient safety, which is something you always want in an administrator.
James McPhee has an extensive reprotoir in serving both disabled veterans, AND people in the community.
Stacy D.O.N. has been here for 20 years, and cares about us deeply, especially from the clinical perspective.
Marie from the wound team is one of the best, she was paramount in getting my wound healed, Kelly too #2.
Chuck always keeps me pumping up the weight bars in the gym. If I ever have a question he takes time to answer it. Sometimes if there’s a movie i want to watch, he’ll let me watch it.
Sophia….there’s a lot you could say about Sophia as far as productivity goes, but she’s got her hand in multiple departments. Always great to share a laugh or too.
Liz in the front, always on top of her A Game, Marquita will always be the O.G.
Tashaun gets us to our appointments, and once a week outings. Denise is great too, such a joy to have and fun to Crack a joke on.
Dr VINCE…DR VINCE is great. It’s great to see someone treat medicine as it should be treated, a gift.
Great regional team as well.
