Is it a NYS violation for an employee to leave their client unattended for about 5-10 minutes? If it is you may wanna make sure that said employee knows that! Highly inappropriate
I brought my friend to live with me. After many meetings and staff doing as they please, I requested removal of a staff member. They did remove the staff, but refused to provide anyone else to cover. I am being forced to resign from my job, incurring financial instability, and jeopardy of losing the roof over both of our heads. Bad staff or nobody was their offer. The mission statement is a farce and this agency is about as cold as Lake Placid in the winter. Stay away from this agency. They can impact every facet of a household, with no consideration for the disabled. The staff removed has to be pretty special to someone, as they will deny service to a handicapped individual to punish those that disagree with their warm body staffing practices. I really hope karma reciprocates the disgusting treatment to all those involved in this atrocity. It’s really sad that they have no issues in doing so to begin with. My friend was so isolated and lonely before he came to stay with me. Now he thrives incredibly. I’m thinking they are forcing him out of his happy place in order to retain my security. Absolutely heartbreaking.
I have changed my review. Once they contacted me it appears they’re working together to help figure out how and if they can help me. At the very least they’ve been responsive and nice.
RCIL is an awesome non-profit that is making lives better for so many people in the community.
