The sixth floor was my only experience. It is the most filthy public facility I have seen throughout Brooklyn. The elevator floor was always sticky. The walls, doors of the rooms as well as the gathering space are bruised or broken. My relative residing there told me that roaches crawl up the walls above her bed at nights. There were huge holes in the room door as well as the closet door. Employees usually do their best; but management is poor. I wonder if the city’s Department Of Health ever visit for inspection. The upholstered one- seater in my relative’s room belonged in the garbage dump. This facility should never house anyone suffering from dementia. There are too many of them to be served by only two or three staff. All furniture are out-dated. Dementia patients deserve better. Close it down. My relative was severely ill but was not taken to the hospital. A family member came and took her to discover she was suffering from influenza and pneumonia. She shortly passed away thereafter.

My Aunt has been at Signature for 2 years now and she is so happy! She is never in her room, she’s playing bingo, out to recreation, never in one spot! She’s always in a great mood and made friends. I’m so relieved that she is well taken care of and it’s one less thing I have to worry about! Very happy with them!
