Providing Care with Compassion and Heart
Aiea Heights Senior Living has been wonderful to my mom! Between the care she received in the hospital and a couple of skilled nursing facilities, my mom has adjusted the best to Aiea Heights because of the caring staff. Jane, the nurse in charge of Aiea Heights, is the best that you can find! Jane is compassionate, responsive, responsible, accommodating, cheerful and easy to work with. She addresses all of the patient’s concerns promptly to ensure they’re happy with their stay; from concerns about noisy roommates, to the quality of the food served. She plans ahead and alerts the staff in advance to ensure everything is in order when the patient has a doctor’s appointment. The nurses and CNAs on site are also very understanding and helpful, which makes a world of difference since they are the ones who provide the care 24/7. There is an activities person who coordinates exercises for the seniors to help keep them engaged. There is a small living room where the patients and visitors can hang out; since space is limited, they ask that visitors give them a heads up before coming in to avoid overcrowding. The cost of foster home care is super pricy in Hawaii, but Aiea Heights goes above and beyond with the quality of care provided so you get what you pay for. We wish they accepted Medicaid because my mom would likely elect to stay there forever if that was the case. Nevertheless, we are grateful for everything Aiea Heights has done for us during our stay there on our long journey of finding my mom a foster care home that will accept spend down to medicaid.
They are very attentive to their patients.
This place (Aiea Heights Senior Living) sucks! Don’t ever let your parents come here. The service, food, and place is just terrible. The CNA’s sleep at NOC shift. All I have to say is TERRIBLE
We were really afraid to check our aunt into this place because she didn’t think she needed to go to a care home. The staff there was really great with her and the transition was a lot easier than expected. Turns out my aunt is extremely happy there. Love the staff, they have become like family to us.
