Alexandria Place and the staff there have been absolutely wonderful for my mom. I was blessed to get to know everyone by name, including most of the residents. We played lots of bingo during my visits with mom on the weekends and sometimes during the week. I am so thankful for how loving and caring they have been with mom! They’ve made it feel like a family atmosphere and that is a wonderful thing when you need to be in assisted living. I highly recommend Alexandria Place.

This is a relatively small facility (about 20 or so residents) so all the staff know my loved one’s name, and she knows theirs. Communication to families is positive and ongoing, and I feel like I can always call if I have a concern or question. The administrator and director of nursing are very available and patient in explaining processes and offering insight into my loved one’s situation. It would be helpful if there were always at least two aides available on each shift — on some shifts there’s just one person to serve all the residents — but the facility has recently made some new hires and increased staffing, which I appreciate. My point-of-view is limited in that I have never had a loved one at a similar facility, other than short stints at skilled-nursing facilities, which are a whole different category of facility. But based on my tours of other assisted-living and continuing-care facilities, all of which were larger and felt more institutional, I feel my loved ones made a wise choice for their needs.
