My mom stayed at this facility in the winter of 2023. Their staff were friendly and supportive. The manager, Francisco was very helpful. I appreciate all of their care for my mom. I would give a 5-star rating for this nursing home but I was not impressed by the doctor. She was not professional. I had to visit her private clinic in order to consult with her about my mom’s treatment. She never reached out to me even I left messages for her. Fortunately, the manager, Francisco went above and beyond to accommodate my mom.
A very close friend just left this facility post operative from a kidney removal surgery. Although the staff was friendly, apparently they are ill equipped to provide accurate patient care. My friend’s medications were administered incorrectly or not at all. One example is her blood pressure RX, should have been 1/2 tablet daily. Instead she was given 1 tablet twice per day. This is extremely dangerous. Some RX were not given at all. There is no organization or procedure in place to monitor this process. Another example of noncompliance is when a patient presses the call button, and it is ignored. Staff was in the hall adjacent to the patient’s room but did not respond to calls for help. Third, a walker was ordered, but somehow didn’t arrive within days, and the facility couldn’t spare the use of a facility walker for the patient. Fourth, food served was abysmal (spam as meat, grilled cheese sandwich burned on outside but not even melted on the inside.) Very poor quality and preparation. Fifth, when a worker was informed of a urine spill from a catheter, he proceeded to wipe it up with paper towels using his foot. He did not wash the floor area or try to sanitize it.
My husband was in this facility for 3 weeks, with a fractured hip. I won’t go into all the bad treatment he got while he was there: his meds given with the wrong dosages, rude cnas, calls ignored, not being helped to the bathroom, etc. My biggest complaint now is that they had covid infected patients right across the hall from him and when I mentioned it to the nurses (Thelma and Lily) they said proper precautions were being taken (not those exact words but to that effect). I told them the covid patients needed to be in a separate corridor. They ignored me
My husband was brought home a week ago, Sunday. On Tuesday he tested positive for covid. On Friday I tested positive. Today my daughter has tested positive. Believe me- I am filing a grievance with the insurance, with the medical board and with the state of California and anyone who will listen
My dad was just taken here tonight. HORRIBLE. Has a tiny room with 3 people in it, a TV with no remote, no wipes for personal hygiene, not even a blanket to stay warm. What kid of facility is this. I WOULDNT ALLOW MY WORST ENEMY TO STAY HERE. A call to the BBB will be placed first thing in the morning. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. As well as 1 nurse to look after and care for 14 residents. There is way to many NEGATIVES about this place. PURE TRASH !!!!!!!
