Well, on their clock after requested restraints for my family members safety, a mitt was placed on patients hand. 3 days later, patient was able to pull out their trake from their neck. That was March 14. March 12 the trake was put in. Now for about 5 days my family member is struggling with secretions, breathing difficulty and can’t speak as he could before. Will not listen to my request to send him back to prior hospital to re insert trake that they attempted right after patient pulled his out. I asked same day, why not send him. Back to prior hospital tore insert? They said, we are monitoring him and our staff is efficient. Mm hmm
I was admitted to CareOne from another hospital after a medical emergency – one of the single worst decisions made on my behalf in my life. I was in control of all faculties and worked my job of 18 years up to the day before admission. Within one hour of my arrival to CareOne I requested that the ambulance return me to the prior hospital. It was very clear that the highest priority at Care One is securing the Benjamins, not patient care. From the top down the narrative lacked truth. I will be more direct – there were outright lies. This included professional care that was ‘available’ for my condition; physicians assigned as part of a boutique group that did not follow established treatment; ordinary task such as taking a shower; receiving medications ordered by their own physicians without 2 or 3 day delay,; receiving any meal that was ordered; ensuring that the center did not run out of toilet paper and tissues; support staff responsible for coordinating insurance documents actually completes the required paperwork(social worker) and possibly the worst – the same ‘support’ staff passing elements of my personal health information without my permission to employees that I work with via email plus phone that should never have received this information. Although LTAC may be relatively new as treatment centers, care of patients is not. This has been a huge lesson learned and now I fully understand why my insurance fought against treatment at this center. I can only speak about my experience at CareOne at St. Peter’s. There is no scenario where I would allow anyone I know to be admitted to this center. I will also ensure that every physician I see is aware of my experience at St. Peter’s. It’s all about the $$$.
Worst care for family.visits are 11-6 pm only , paid parking, no one under 18 to visit unhelpful staff ,rules not on website or posted in hospital , 4 hour trip wasted
In your response to my previous review, my family has sent detailed reviews of all the issues. Hopefully you will take them into account, but I am sure nothing will change. There is no addressing my concerns because my grandfather has passed and his death was unfortunately dragged out because of the lack of intelligence and communication with your employees. Worst health care I have ever seen.
