Compassus

Absolutely horrific experience! What I thought was going to be a much needed help for me ended up being more stressful in the end. The team REFUSED to play nice with my father’s assisted living facility AT ALL! I was asked multiple times to move my very ill, dementia stricken father to a different facility, which I declined. I didn’t feel it was in the best interest of my father and I made my reasons clear. They stopped timely communications with me after this. Then the home raised some valid concerns and I reached out to reach a compromise. Sherry was so defensive and unwilling to take any responsibility for lack of communication. I was told that if I didn’t want to move my father I should find a new hospice provider! What?! Okay, I found a new company and initiated a transfer. They didn’t hesitate to drop my dad before the transfer was complete. No regard for my sick father. Just an agenda because they didn’t get their way. STAY AWAY!

I have the best things to say about Compassus.
I am so grateful with all the people, the compassionate nurses, the director of them , the case worker, the chaplain, all of them are angels in disguise…
They came to my life at a moment of a lot of distress and took my pain and my moms pain and soothed it …I felt like touched by angels and I am sure my mom felt the same way…
I am so very grateful to have called them to be with us during the preparation for my mother trip to heaven

I cannot say enough good things about Compassus. The way they came in and took care of my father and made him comfortable and how they made him feel safe. Mata was absolutely incredible she would contact me everyday that she saw my dad and explained everything to me. She has so much knowledge and compassion and I felt so comfortable and reassured that my dad was in great hands. I just want to thank everyone at Compassus for all that they do not just for my father and me but all the other lives they touch.

Was absolutely wonderful, from the first time we contacted them until my wife’s final day.
Their first priority was, to ensure my wife was completely comfortable, in no pain and that she had everything she needed to make sure her final days were the best as they possibly could be. If I had any questions or concerns for my wife any time day or night, they would be immediately addressed. In my wife’s final days Nurse Sherry M., was so kind, understanding and helpful. Her personal attention to my wife and I, during my wife’s final days made things much easier leading up to her passing. Sherry provided exceptional care during our time in Hospices and made our difficult time more compassionate during our exceptionally difficult time. Sherry’s care allowed me, to be with my wife, holding her hand when she quietly and painlessly passed away. Thank you, Sherry.

The Compassus Hospice team took care of our mother for approximately 5 months. During this time the team became more than a team of health care professionals. They became family. Each time they came through the door there was a comforting smile. They took care of mom as if she was their mom. They gave her respect and dignity. They laughed with her, and they cried with her. They explained everything to me and my brother from medications to the process of dying. They answered any questions we asked. They were honest. If you or your family find yourselves in this situation, please consider Compassus Hospice. They were a godsend to our family.
