It was so beautiful and clean, But what you really observe is the daily atmosphere and the connection of staff to residents.

If you’re looking for the perfect community for your loved one in NYC, look no further! I recently toured this location with my mother, and from the moment I walked into the reception area, I was impressed. As I waited for the community’s sales director, I couldn’t help but notice how the receptionist (I apologize if that’s not their official title!) handled calls from residents needing assistance with their car service reservations. The way he addressed each resident by name and the care he showed in those interactions really stood out to me. It was clear he knew the residents personally, and I loved seeing that level of attention.

Then, I was greeted by the wonderful Kat Flanders, who made me feel incredibly welcome. She was thorough in answering all my questions and really knowledgeable about the community and the amenities they offer. The place itself was in pristine condition—everything was spotless, and the staff greeted me warmly as I passed by. During the tour, I also saw residents stop to chat with Kat, and it was clear she has strong relationships with everyone. That personal touch really made me feel comfortable recommending this community for my mother.

My experience at Coterie in January was wonderful! The staff and residents alike were extremely friendly and welcoming. In short order I was able to join many people for meals and felt quite comfortable with my new friends.
In addition to being friendly and welcoming, the entire staff deserves special attention for trying so hard to please the residents. No request is a bother and mine were always filled with graciousness and good humor; this was true from the people who cleaned the rooms to the wait staff in the dining room as well as the managers, etc.
Coterie’s programs and activities as well as their well equipped gym kept me busy. In addition to the two museum excursions I joined and thoroughly enjoyed I hardly noticed the horrid January weather we were experiencing! There were many other interesting activities throughout each day which kept me busy.
When I am ready to relocate, Coterie is my first choice!

My mom no longer needs to go to this residence, but I have to say that I was blown away by the facility. I have visited several other places, and have found many of the sales directors to be cold or lacking knowledge. But Ellie was wonderful, demonstrating interest in my needs and in the needs of the many residents we encountered.
