Crestview Court offers a calm, upbeat environment that feels like home, with skilled nursing care, rehabilitation therapies, and independent living accommodations.
Located 25 minutes south of Dallas along the eastern shore of Joe Pool Lake and Cedar Hill State Park, Crestview Court is a 125-bed residential facility that delivers comprehensive nursing and rehab services.
Should be a negative star, but was not an option. DO NOT send anyone here you care about. They had an outbreak of norovirus, the facility did not inform any family or guest of this. My mom’s TV did not work for two days after I reported it and the nurse said she did not have time to report. I also reported to the front desk and nothing was done.
My mom is 97 and she is in a wheelchair and she was left in bed in her gown most of the time. No one had time to change her. Talking to executive director did not good. When Mom was released, there was no procedure and no one from Crestview contacted family to give information.
No facility is perfect however this facility has some outstanding , caring, compassionate , caretakers that go above and beyond and truly make you feel special like family and definitely don’t make you feel like they are JUST doing their job. They seem to truly have a passion for what they do and who they care for ,for example my all time best CNA Shiecka Anthony, my other CNA Gwen that definitely made me feel like she was caring for a loved one, my two amazing therapists Taylor ( Physical) and Craig(I think is her name?not sure how to spell ? Occupational) Kitchen and all around get things done person Stephen and my kinda rough around the edges nurse Bernard. There’s many more who’s names I don’t know however women and men like these are what make being in a rehab for therapy a bit easier when the physical therapy aspect can really wear you down. I would recommend this facility however like ALL places it’s VERY helpful for your friends, family and loved ones to be part of your care and stay wherever you are so they can notice and help address any issues that the person being cared for might not be able to get taken care of themselves!!!!!
I’ actually visited Crestview Court Nursing Home in Cedar Hill, Tx, three times now and each visit was very disappointing. My first visit was two years ago. The receptionist was very pleasant as she call one of the admission personal. While I do not recall what the layout looked like, I do recall there was no unpleasant odor. However what did stick with me was the fact that, when I said my father would be private pay, the admission young lady seemed to be discouraging me from bringing my father here.. She wanted to know why I would move my father from a Va sponsored facility to a private pay facility. I explained to her that the Va facility is nice and my father is welled cared for there, but it is an hours drive away, one way. I want to move him closer to my home in Cedar Hill so that I can spend more time with him and he can see me more often. Makes since to me, yet she still suggested I leave my father in the Va sponsored facility. This conversation is all without even talking about my father or evaluating him. However from that conversation I decided if they did not want my father there, it’s best he not be there.
About nine months ago I was still looking for a facility closer to my home so I visited Crestview Court again and this time I spoke with Brandi, admissions director. While I do not really remember that visit, I recall a discouraging vibe and apparently still chose not to bring my father here.
A few days ago, I visited Crescent Place, a very nice facility across the street from this place. However, because my fathers health status is changing, their Facility could not accept him. It is an Assisted Living Facility and he is in need of Skilled nursing care. They referred me back to Crestview Court and I thought I’d give it another try. Upon entering the facility it still appears very clean and free of unpleasant odors. The receptionist is very nice as she called Brandi out. When Brandi appeared, she said I looked familiar and I told her I had visited a few months ago. When I told her I was still looking for a place closer to my home she replied well just have his facility fax over his papers and they will take a look. There was no “would you like to sit down” “let me get some information about your father” ” thank you for revisiting our facility”, “would you like another tour” “here’s a Brochure of our facility”. It was again, the same, callus, nonchalant, disengaged, non-conversation. She said she was assuming he was on Medicaid and I replied no, he’s going to be private pay. She then started calling out their rate so I had to interrupt her to ask for a brochure. She got a brochure, wrote one rate down for private pay, gave it to me and said call if I had any questions. My whole encounter with Brandi took less than 3 minutes. Needless to say that I absolutely would NOT recommend Crestview Court to anyone. If this is the way administration treat potential clients, how will they respond to your concerns once they get you signed on and your family member moved in. My father is presently residing at Woodridge Village in Grapevine Texas. Their aesthetics are outdated but the nursing staff is amazing! My sole reason for wanting to move my father is because it is so far away. He’s 85 years old and a closer facility would allow me to spend more time with him in the years we still have together.
