My dad and stepmom have lived there for a few weeks now. The whole family cannot say enough positive about the Wesleyan staff at the rehab center. They have given the most excellent care and definite concern for both our parents.
In the last week, our stepmom had started passing and passed this morning. All of the caregivers in halls three and four Attended both of our folks with the utmost of care. everyone that took care of room 408 and 305 deserves awards for what they have done. We have grown to include many of them in our little family. One of them needs to be praised for the work the service and the care they have given and believe us it has not gone unnoticed. The Condreay family thank you from the bottom of our hearts and thanks is not enough.
The staff now takes care of dad and we are grateful for the care that he has been given to the same extent that my received. We look forward the continuing care that Dad will receive. We know he’s in the best of hands. Thank God for the Wesleyan

Horrible! Would not help to the bathroom in middle of night and told my husband to “pee in his diaper!” They would change the diaper the next morning. Other staff would leave him sitting on toilet for 30-45 minutes before helping him. Short staffed! I found his blood pressure medication on the floor of his room. I feared for his safety and took him home.

I have to be honest because most people won’t leave a review. Since you’re looking for honest reviews, I’m here to help. The Wesleyan is not the same Christian based community from years ago that I once loved. Unfortunately, after the CEO passed away, everything changed. I witnessed how things were handled during the pandemic. Very poor decisions were made. Many unhappy families, residents and staff way before that. Do your research. Go to various communities and witness for yourself. Have lunch, follow your instincts for the best fit for your loved one. Best of luck. I truly love our senior population! They deserve dignity and optimum quality of life.

My mom was just there for a short 10 day stay after a pelvic fracture. At first we were nervous about rehab at a SNF. But we were soon overwhelmed with the excellent care. Such a busy dedicated staff. Kathy the nurse, Jennifer the OT, Rocio, Mae the OT, Thomas the nurse, Samara the nurse practitioner, Tammas, the speech therapist, and so many more!!! We appreciate the compassionate, professional care that the Wesleyan provides!

If I could give zero I would. My mother stayed there in 2022. She came down with Covid within 72 hours. Not vaccinated, all staff should wear ppe during 14 day quarantine. No one followed signs posted on door. Upon receiving the call, I tested and rushed up there. Mom was frightened of the positive test. I asked to speak to someone about this. The PA, a very large women entered my mother’s room, immediately on the defensive. She then decided to put PPE on, first since our stay. This PA went to town on me, confronted me, and accused me of being irresponsible for not vaccinating my mother. She was in heart failure and is on blood thinners for clots. We were advised not to. This PA came nearly nose to nose yelling there is no reason my mom should not be vaccinated. At which time I told her to get out of my mother’s room. I asked if she was the cardiologist, and told her I was floored by her accusations of not caring for my mother and vaccinating her. She refused to leave the room at first and continued arguing. As she finally exited the door, the director was on the way down the hall. I started to close the door, and suddenly the PA places her foot in the door not allowing me to close, and ramped back up on the yelling. She literally began arguing with herself for show, claiming I slammed the door on her foot. I could not believe this. I met with the director in her office right away. Explained to her the behavior of this PA and how she began attacking me, in front of my mother, scarring her. I told her also no one had followed the state guidelines posted on her door regarding PPE. Not once has I seen a person enter wearing the gear. The guideline are posted in color on her door. The director did not seem to believe what I was saying, and I asked her to check cameras in the hall. Certainly they had them. We completed our stay. No incidents took place. And I was satisfied with the care. A year later, mother needed skilled nursing. Due to closeness to my home, I requested she return. Mom was packed and ready to transport from hospital. Literally 15 minutes before, they called and said they will not take her. I was in utter shock. I did nothing to anyone there. I was the one who was chastised by the PA, in my own mother’s room, and she was aggressive, pointing fingers, raising her voice. It isn’t her place to tell us anything about a vaccination. And certainly not insinuate I am giving my mother poor care. The vaccine would have caused her more problems, and we spoke to the cardiologist and followed his recommendations. My mother was not accepted last minute, leaving me less than 24 hours to find a place and hope they care for my mom. Fast forward to September 2023, I went in to inquire about longterm care as my mother is bedridden. They literally looked at my name and said they are no longer taking long term. We know this is not true. They refused mother because of me. We were the ones who were attacked verbally about her vaccination status, and I was criticized heavily being told how terrible of a care giver I was, irresponsible was the word. The facility is literally a five minute drive from my home. I work full time, and I am the sole caregiver for my mother. She is in a great facility in Round Rock, Cantex Health. It’s 15 to 20 minutes but five would make life easier for sure. Belaire actually cares about your parent and the caregiver. My mother is a great patient. No complaints at all ever. Wesleyan refused to do anything about that PA, I was in the directors office in tears over the way she acted and accusations made against me. During our final stay, I brought cupcakes to the staff. Always tried to help as I know they are overloaded. That one incident where I was put in a position to defend myself against an aggressive PA who clearly stepped out of line. I guess this is how it is at private institutions. About the money. My mother was so disappointed not to go there. We are happy at Belaire and the professionalism and care is top notch.
