  1. I’m grateful for the staff at Grossmont Post Acute. After a fall and lengthy hospital stay my mother was not able to come home. The staff there helped her adjust, worked with her on physical therapy, and provided a safe and clean environment for her to stay. Social workers at the facility helped us navigate the very confusing process to find a long term facility for her to transition to. They kept us in the loop, guided us on decisions and paperwork and facilitated many of the important steps. Thank you to everyone at Grossmont Post Acute for your understanding, patience, and care for my mother.

  2. It’s a wonderful rehab facility , the staff is very professional, friendly and helpful with any questions and concerns you might have , I would highly recommend it . If you have a family member or yourself to rehab.

This is long overdue. I was let go in February 2018. I got an update from someone I loved working with later in the year and they told me almost everyone I worked with quit. The former DSD was demoted. Cameras don’t lie and neither do I. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I actually worked there for 90 days as a CNA. From my experience it’s a great concept. Patients get a intro to the facility and then they do some test on the patient to see their basic function. Rehab was super friendly and straight forward. COOKING AND LAUNDRY STAFF ARE AMAZINGLY SWEET. But the nursing staff and admin are very unorganized and fake people. They look out for those who’ve worked there longer or are in their clique. I have been placed the position where I’m the only CNA on the entire hall and they’d be in a meeting, which they shouldn’t be or my partner has left me without notice. The admin would try to answer lights but she was useless on the floor because she was going to me to answer these lights. I’m very passionate about helping my clients and while I was there I gave it my all. A handful of the CNAs where nice but I learned most of them left on time because they were cutting corners hard. I left late but I was always working my butt off, which isn’t true for everyone. The only way I managed to leave on time was because I was charting on my lunch break. I was the first AM CNA there and the last AM CNA to leave. They have cameras, I don’t have to lie because I was putting in work. The DSD seemed like she wanted me gone from the start and was ready to let me go when the time came. I remember I had a section for maybe 2 days and I was killing it, I mean finally leaving on time, but as soon as the DSD came in my section on the weekend, she was demanding all kinds of things. My partner left late with me those days. After that, I was placed in a section filled with new faces and it was very difficult. She’d basically find anything to use against me. I’m not talking in spite because I’m at peace with it, but this is what I went through while I was there. This is all from my short time there. If a light has been there long, it’s mostly because CNAs are gone, Nurses are “too busy”, or CNA’s are just very overworked. I talked with some of the new CNAs when I was there and they felt as though the nurses were playing them and felt overworked too. If you don’t believe me, ask someone new there to be real with you about it. I highly doubt they changed in 4 months.
