  1. Deb, the operator was EXTREMELY rude for asking even the most basic of questions. If you hire someone like that to be the first person you talk to when calling, then I am concerned about what else is going on behind closed doors.

  2. The front desk woman/phone operator, Deb, was the rudest person that I’ve ever spoken to in healthcare. Every valid question was met with a rude and belittling response. Not only that, she cut me off almost every time I spoke and decided to transfer me to someone else in the middle of my sentence before listening to the whole situation. If you or a loved one was thinking about going here, DON’T. If they are that comfortable treating people horribly over the phone, I can’t imagine how they treat patients behind closed doors, as mentioned in other reviews.

  3. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Believe the word of mouth on this place & the horrible experiences people have had. This place is a complete joke! Full of excuses from every single member of administration. Total disorganization. The only small saving grace to this place is the handful of truly above & beyond nursing staff they have there. Thank you to those who DID help me navigate this mess & treated my mom so kindly! Hope those few good people get out & find a better place of employment.

Where do I begin? My mother was admitted there around Christmas, about a week before I believe & remained there until 1/20. Now granted I know it was the holiday time & staff was short. Fully understand. HOWEVER, they made ZERO of her follow up appointments with cardiology or for her broken back. In the care meeting to discuss her potential discharge they basically said “oooops we messed up” so not only did she not get proper medical care or follow up care NOW I have to try to arrange for her to go to these appointments in her frail condition without help of experienced medical support staff to safely transport her. Her follow ups were scheduled way after they should have been & she was discharged before she could even go. Their excuse, she came in at the holidays. Sorry NOT AN EXCUSE FOR A CARDIAC PATIENT! They overdosed her on insulin & she got to a dangerously low level & she was not responding to being awoken. Thankfully she had an alert roommate who for called for help to nurses in there. I NEVER got a call from the rehab when it happened. My mom & her roommate filled me in the next day on all that occurred the night before. When I brought up my concern of this incident to administrative staff (which they were TOTALLY unaware this happened as was the drs ARNP) that other nurses there use common sense & when her sugar is within normal rage they don’t just “follow the drs orders” & give the 2nd dose so that this situation does NOT happen her reply was “we can’t use common sense in this business, we must follow drs orders”. Former medical myself, common sense would be for the nurse to call the dr to say “patient’s sugar seems within normal ranges lately in the bedtime hours, do you still want me to administer this dose or would you like to reevaluate your orders since she seems to be balancing out in the evenings now” but no I got EXCUSES from admins acting as if I was an idiot & my concerns completely dismissed. How dare I question why she was overdosed. I am very aware how difficult balancing out a diabetic is but she acted as if my concerns weren’t justified. All I got when I brought stuff to their attention that was missed, overlooked, done completely wrong was nothing but pure excuses! That’s infuriating to someone who is trying to be hands on in their parent’s care especially given that the patient is confused & overwhelmed & also given the facility has the POA / Healthcare Surrogate paperwork on file! I asked numerous times for calls from someone to advise me on what her status was, never got calls after numerous attempts. It wasn’t until I filed an appeal against the insurance recommendation to discharge then all of a sudden I got calls from the drs staff because I was enraged that I had no clue if she was even medically cleared by them to go home. I had zero information on her progress while in that rehab until the very end when I needed to appeal with the insurance. It is very evident insurance doesn’t give a crap about patients to begin with but what’s is equally as frustrating is when you are a hands on caregiver trying to get things sorted out & done right for your loved one & you end up at a place that cannot admit faults & you are dismissed & met with nothing but excuses by their administration staff. You will have horrible communication if you are lucky to have any at all. This place is awful! Do NOT send your loved ones here!
