I have resided here at Sanford rehab since having a stroke last March. The facility as a whole is well kept and pleasant. Since my very first day they have always acknowledged and greeted me on a first name basis making me feel more at home and comfortable being in a new and strange environment. So I would definitely recommend this facility to others because they make your transition nice and simple. Thank you to my Sanford Rehab Staff and family for everything that you have done and continue to do for me and my fellow residents.
Some of the CNA’s and one nurse employed at this facility need to be fired and find different employment where preferably they work ALONE, not to help other humans! Maybe in a zoo where all they do is feed animals all day and have no human contact would suit them!
Our cousin Dana Hill was a resident here for over 3 1/2years. The nursing unit manager Dave Phillips was excellent and very helpful. He answered our many questions about her medical care! JR was super helpful too, always making sure the residents had numerous activities to partake in.

My Mom was in this facility for over two years, until she passed. It was what she could afford and the care here was very good. Everyone knew her name, and while her needs became more excessive than the care that could be provided (not the facility’s fault, she simply declined from her illness), people there truly cared about “Miss Rhea.” She was like a celebrity when we would visit and all the staff would say hello. It’s very hard to condemn others when you aren’t the ones doing the job, and oftentimes, these places are stretched very thin. They do the best they can with the resources they have. My family and I are very grateful for the care she was provided here, no, it wasn’t perfect, but nothing in life is. LOT of caring people here, a lot of heroes here–I can’t imagine the work is easy, and showing our elders dignity at the end stages of life is truly a beautiful and noble thing. I will always be thankful to everyone who took care of my Mom here.
