Welcome to Heritage Place Senior Living—a haven of relaxed senior living, compassionate care, and enriching experiences.
My friend has been living here for 6 months and couldn’t be happier!! We’re always delighted by the wonderful staff and management. The food is great and my friend loves the fellow residents.
Beware! the management is very hard to get a hold of if there’s any issues and if you need a repair or issue taken care of they seem to lose the work order. Takes weeks to get things fixed. The turn over is also bad. Manager isn’t friendly and can’t get ahold of him.
Heritage Place is a horrible place for assisted living residents My husband has been there for 3 months for 5000.00 a month for a room, medication and a shower 3 times a week unless there are holidays and everything stops. When I think of a way to say something about it It is a zoo where people are treated like animals. My husband was in his room and no effort was made to have him socialize. Mainly because most of the residents are severely cognitively impaired and there is no one to talk to.I came. to Heritage House today Some people were in the dining hall which is quiet and very small .I found my husband sitting in his wheelchair with wet depends and pants and no one had done anything. There were 2 aides doing breakfast so they hadn’t done anything to help him My husband also told me that the few times he has used a buzzer help did not come for a long time. The halls are very depressing and usually quiet because aides just disappear. They have very little training. I asked an aide what was done for my husband every day. She said she helped him with exercises and when I further inquired she lied For the past 3 months my husband was there no paperwork was given to me. I asked for medical notes but the aid said she could not get any. That is probably because there were no notes. If you want to dump off a relative because the patient has medicare and you don’t have to pay this place is for you The building is run down poorly managed and not well cleaned The person that cleans the bathrooms used the same rag and spray bottle for ALL the toiletsTHEY DO NOT WIPE DOWN A HOSPITAL BED WITH ANY TYPE OF DISENFECTANT. This morning I found my husband sitting in his urine in his wheelchair and no one had done anything and I lost my temper that an aide would leave a patient in that shape and breakfast was being served so I guess they were going to take him in the dining room in that condition smelling of urineThis is not the first time Over Thanksgiving I found him in a similar state and gave him a shower myself The aide was taking off his shirt and was pulling his neck and I had to stop her from breaking his neck. Obviously the aids there have had minimal training. I live close to Hertage Place and I have gone there often and all the halls are quiet and the aides at the nursing center are on their phones or just not thereI honestly would not put my dog there. As I was leaving I told Brittany (not sure of her position)that I was putting in a formal complaint to NC Board of Nursing and was told they were very familiar with with that. That in affect is very concerning One more concern An R N with no experience in cognitive skills or developmental skills for the elderly uses a point system to access a patients abilities It’s a basically yes no questionnaire which can basically say whatever you want it to say Even though my husband has gained strength an improved he went from a level four to level 3 with no change of fees So they can say anything just to get your money. Heritage Place is a money maker with no for the care taker or the patient and they can make scores whatever they want them to say . Now if you want to dump your love one here have Medicare and it won’t cost for you Heritage Place is the perfect place for them I frankly think our veterans deserve better and will be discussing and sharing with as many families As I can if they are put in my path. I am calling for a complete investigation and audit of records. So that other families won’t have to go through this. Also I was pressured into making this move with a sale to fill their empty halls with half dead people
I have a friend that lives at Heritage Place when I go and visit the staff and management there are truly exceptionally kind, attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure residents feel cared for and valued. The sense of community is wonderful, and there’s always a warm welcoming atmosphere. It’s a definitely a place he feels safe, supported, and truly at home. Highly recommend!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Heritage Place and I can honestly say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was clear that this place is much more than just a facility—it’s a vibrant, caring community where residents are treated with the utmost respect and attention.
