Most nasty place I’ve could’ve allowed my grandmother to go to. This place is an absolute joke. The nurses there are only there for a pay check. Never have I seen an overweight nurse , the nurses there need doctors more than the patients do
My mother was in her for a month or so.This place is nasty. The dirty floor and bedding. They are so understaffed. They need to be shut down. Leaving residence in dirty diapers and beds. They leave the residence sitting 8 hrs or more a day in wheelchair without changing them. I brought clothes for my mother and they lost them all except one outfit, her name was on the inside of them. The nurses are down right nasty. Some of the CNA really care while other are just there for the paycheck. HR or the supervisor never call back. I will never place a family member here again.
The staff goes out of their way to tell you they’ll be back in 5 minutes, then disappear never to be seen again. The facility itself is fine, but the housekeeping terrible. Floors, tables, surfaces are dirty and littered. Unfortunately the nurse supervisor is the worst offender and by example sets the tone for the rest of the staff.
9.25.2024 update: we then discovered, when Dad had to be moved to the hospital, that the case manager at Highland had filed out the insurance forms incorrectly, which caused insurance to cut off his benefits. The case manager at Garnet Hospital was able to rectify the errors and Dad was then able to go home with home health aides and PT in place; again, no thanks to Highland.
For anyone wondering about the discrepancy in this review versus the others, I suggest you take a look at the aurhors’ profiles 😏😉
Highland rehab center went above and beyond with my husband’s care. Everyone there was caring, compassionate and understanding not only for my husband, but for myself. Would definitely use again.
