I recently visited Hillside unexpectedly and found it to be very clean, the residents were smiling and laughing, engaged with the 3 caregivers that were there. This is a wonderful and ideal alternative to institution care. The owner and staff are extremely caring and compassionate and the rates are affordable. Hillside assisted living should definitely be your first option for elderly care.

My dad has been at Hillside for about 6 weeks now, and this has been by far the best experience with care we have had! We have had terrible experiences with facilities in the Keller area. My dad now feels like he is back at his own home. The house is beautiful and clean, and big enough for families to come spend time together, which was really important for us. The staff treats my dad like family. He is always clean and comfortable. He LOVES the home cooking and has celebrated a wonderful birthday party and a Thanksgiving dinner thrown by Irene already. We have made friends with the other residents’ families as well, and the whole place is just a pleasant and inviting place to be. We no longer lay awake at night hoping that he is not being ignored or neglected in a hospital-style setting, and I cannot describe the peace of mind that has brought.
All the staff has been exceptional, but the house manager Irene definitely sets the bar! She is knowledgeable about my dad’s condition, goes out of her way to maximize his comfort, provides him with music and entertainment, and makes sure he stretches and gets out of bed every day. She also communicates extremely well with my family. We have not experienced anyone like Irene in our ten years of finding caregivers for my dad. Also, the cooking is wonderful and there’s always extra! Most importantly, though, she truly is a friend to my dad, and he feels respected in a way he has not before when living in nursing homes.
