I am appalled at the way the long term care side of this facility is NOT maintained. The walls and ceiling are stained. The window would not close and could be opened from the outside if you wanted to because the screen is hanging off and freezing air being allowed to come into the room. The blind is broken so mom is uncomfortable getting undressed and mom is using a piece of paper to try to block it. The toilet is leaking and my mom is attempting to put towels down because of the water, both she and her roommate are huge fall risks, my mom had multiple falls at this facility, so where did you think it was safe to put her in a room with a leaking toilet, but the staff thought it was okay to put them in this room. The wood in the bathroom is rotting. This small horrible bathroom is used by 4 residents because this is a Jack and Jill bathroom which we Specifically told the social worker and DON that we did not want our mom in a room that she had to share with another room!!! There is one raggedy closet in the room for 2 residents that they share and there is no light in the dark closet, again for 2 residents that are huge fall risks. The divider curtain is raggedy, stained, and half hanging up there. The staff on the LTC side are unconcerned and very inappropriate when coming into the room to address the residents concerns, that is if they even come in the room to address their needs. CNA enters the room peeling a tangerine and sticking the resident’s cup/pitcher under her arm is disgusting. When she returned with the water she was eating the tangerine with these long disgusting fake nails on. I was done at this point and immediately removed my mom from this dump. If you are looking for a place for long term care stay PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THIS PLACE!!!
I love the staff at the laurenwood they been taking care of my mom for a little while she had to be on hospice recently the staff has been really caring of i reccomend the laurenwood to anyone and everyone that has a loved one that needs skilled rehab or nursing care thank you very much the Lee family
Worst staff nurse on 6-2 lazy and worry about everything but her morning shift!! 2-10 Aide worrying about the wrong things and telling lies like the nurses and staffing personnel.. Shut the whole place down!!
Laurenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation is a well run facility, that cares for everyone in their charge, skillfully, and caringly, in a very clean, well-made building. The atmosphere is friendly and bright, with arespectful, hard-working staff throughout. GOD Bless All of You, for doing a great Job! 🙏
My Tia is at this facility and has nothing but great things to say about Cynthia M. She’s very helpful on the phone when I call for information as well. She always helps my Tia put the TV on Telemundo. That’s her favorite channel and Cynthia always make sure that she is watching her right one. So sweet!
