My experience with Rosewood was great!
The staff is friendly and want to make the transition for your elderly family member as comfortable and gentle as possible. My mother and father in law were both there until they passed. It is importance to know that family being present is key to a good experience anywhere they transition to. The staff worked with us to get them the care they needed throughout the process and helped us get through after they passed.
My mom is in Memory Care here and has been for 2 years now. We truly appreciate the staff from the admin to the nurses to the aides . Mom has several health conditions that are being managed by the nurses on staff. One seems to be more chronic than the others and requires more time on the part of the nurses and myself . Rosewood staff does listen to my concerns and responds appropriately to help the situation. I visit my mom on a very regular basis to check in with her , face time my brothers and do a bit of organizing in her room while I am there . I really appreciate the kindness and care that the staff shows my mom and myself.
Coming from a person that use to work here please I repeat please don’t let these people lie to you everything that glitter is not gold i wouldn’t dare move or tell someone to move a family member here or look for employment I wish the state would see how this facility is ran behind closed doors working at this facility will have a persons license revoked I’ve seen the med tech pre pop meds don’t wash their hands nor use PPE when dealing with medication drop and pick up medication and proceeds to give it to the residents like nothing ever happened the nurses had the caregiver and med tech doing their jobs because they didn’t won’t to do it the cooks in the kitchen will leave food out all night without coving it up and serve the same food that’s been sitting out all night to the residents the next day it was always a horrible smells in the kitchen and then they wonder why the residents not eating the food is a disgrace they serve the same food every week i got bored and depressed looking at the same meals every week and to see the residents get skinny and stare at their plates because their not enjoying the meals is very sad the residents pay to much money to stay at a facility that do the same boring activities on a daily memory care is so played out all they do is play old movie videos and song and have them color like their five years old instead of interacting with them, get them moving or learning they just sit around this place is infested with water bugs every time I turned around in go somewhere from the laundry room bathroom or just walking in the residents apartment to assist There’s always a water bug flying or crawling trying to run up my legs night time they come out the worst I was always scared someone would be sleep with their mouth open and a water bug would or could drop in a resident’s mouth while sleeping that’s how unsafe this place is like I said it looks nice but it’s unsafe
Most amazing community. Food is great, care exceptional, staff is consistent unlike other places where it’s constantly changing. It sold be everyone’s first choice. We love Rosewood!
