  1. Maristone of Franklin is not a bad Facility to place your family. It’s a clean and efficient facility. We are not perfect but or staff truly care and provide their needs. Teamwork and good management is the way to make any facility have high ratings. We are not perfect but we try to provide the care they need. Come by and check us out before you judge our facility. Turnovers happen in all facilities. Please come by, a smile and friendly staff member will be glad to show you around. NO SMELLS HERE!

  2. This community has a fantastic work crew. The activity director, sales director, and new kitchen director are all exceptional. The nurses and caregivers provide outstanding support, making it a strong team overall.

  3. My mother Rosemary was a resident at Maristone Assisted Living for 6 1/2 years and I want to share my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional care and compassion she received during her stay.
She recently passed away peacefully in her sleep and I will never forget how the staff went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and how she was treated with compassion and dignity. Knowing she was in caring hands at all times for 6 1/2 years provided my family peace of mind.
I wholeheartedly recommend Maristone Assisted Living of Franklin, TN to anyone looking for a smaller facility that excels at providing exceptional care for your loved ones.

  4. The new management has been able to remove the low reviews which once sat here, and you may notice a large number of the 5 star reviews have no personal comments attached. Whether the facility has given employees benefits for five star reviews as many do, or they have convinced others without true involvement to leave reviews, trust the stories, trust the experiences relayed, don’t trust the rest of the reviews. I was a real customer, I had a dad who was a real resident at Maristone… here is a real review.

We came to the facility under the previous management, and Jesse, the ED at the time, was incredible. The staff became family. Everyone poured into my dad’s life. The business manager flirted with my 90 year old dad which was a crack up, and made his day. Nearly everyone on the staff was incredible, and when there was an issue, a text to a staff member would resolve the issue quickly. I have no regrets about our early days at Maristone… then Jesse quit and Robin Raben (her review appears in the review section) descended. I had hopes for her, but as time went on, I was dumbfounded at how horrific of an ED she became. When we moved in, the facility was nearly at 100% capacity. By the time my dad died, they were close to 25% capacity. The staff, once happy, competent, mature, consistent, hard working, responsible, playful, passionate, and family oriented, started dropping like flies. People were quitting, people were getting fired left and right, and lies referencing employee departures were being told by Robin herself ad nauseam. I reported my concerns to the higher ups, and they backed “their man” throughout. They ended up with only one nurse in the entire facility at any given time, most of the personnel was “agency” meaning most were subs hired. For a significant period of time they did not have an activities director, and when they hired someone she was rude and obnoxious and offered minimal activities. They went through Directors of Nursing at an alarming rate, and for an extended period of time had no DON, no business manager, no facilities director. Families reported all their concerns to Vitality. Families complained about the staff, the turn-over, the lack of a DON, the ED, the Activities Director or lack-thereof, the lack of a facilities director, the high rate of agency workers, the cleanliness, plus the lack of boots on the ground. I was told by most families and staff was that their complaints fell on deaf ears, and that was easy to believe because I was never given any support, & instead I witnessed a company working overtime to defend themselves rather than resolve real issues. My dad’s mental state kept me from being able to relocate him, so we endured the environment. When his room wasn’t clean, I would clean it. I stayed on top of the remaining staff trying to keep his care and the facility condition as high quality as possible, but of course I could only do so much. Our experience ended when my dad with Alzheimer’s came down with the flu. I was never informed he had fallen, been unconscious, and was taken to the hospital. After his death, we came back to clean out his room and found out that he had been lying on the floor unconscious for a period of time before being found. Eventually a CNA found him and put a pillow under his head and left him there. An LPN came in later, saw him on the floor, and recorded in the records “Resident asleep on floor”. She left him there. Later a kitchen worker came to bring him food, and he, as someone trained in emergency care, intervened and began the process to obtaining help from 911. Not OK.

I hope the new ED is good at her job. I hope she has hired a wonderful DON, Activities Director, Facilities Director, etc. I hope she is making changes, and agency workers (outside of Brian the Incredible – a rare gem) are not being utilized. I hope the facility is clean once again. Nothing, though, can make up for how poorly Vitality managed the vast array of problems. I would never put another parent in a Vitality residence again.
