Since opening our doors in 2017, our Charlotte area senior living communities have become a safe haven for residents with dementia and their families. By providing unparalleled care, individuals can thrive and families can focus on cherishing their loved ones.
The Sanctuary at Stonehaven has been an answer to my prayers. This is an outstanding facility that is focused on safety, nutrition, and making sure the patients are constantly loved and feeling happy.
The Sanctuary at Stonehaven 2 was truly a blessing for my mom. The compassion and love for her and our family is beyond measure. Even though she was there for a short time her life was forever changed for the better as well as ours. The team at the Sanctuary is family and truly ‘angels in disguise’! I would highly recommend the Sanctuary for your loved one so that they have the quality of life they deserve. We were blessed to have found them.
Our mom was at Sanctuary for almost a year and we could not be more pleased with her care. The staff was incredibly caring and kind. It was always clean, friendly, very homelike. They treated her as I would have treated her. Her great-granddaughter would visit several times a week and had full run of the place, which made everyone happy. Perfect place for a mom for her last year. Thank you so much.
The Sanctuary was a blessing for my mother—and, in turn, for our entire family. The staff was attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to providing personalized care. What sets it apart is its warm, home-like environment that fosters both comfort and well-being. The excellent caregiver-to-resident ratio ensures individualized attention for residents, along with meaningful engagement with family. If you’re seeking a supportive, well-run memory care home for your loved one, I highly recommend The Sanctuary.
This facility is very nice and well kept; however this was not a good fit for my father. If your loved one is ok with sleeping a long time at night and can verbally speak their needs as well as take care of themselves in many ways, then this will be a good fit for them. They expected my father to stay in bed for 12-16 hours overnight and into the morning. There is only one staff member from 8p-8a and one of the nine days he was there the second person did not show up until 9am. No one seemed to be alarmed by this.
The owners are not permanently local, but they do communicate regularly with the family members and staff. We were overcharged and when brought to their attention, they did not acknowledge this.
Please make sure you do your research and have clear communication with the facility before placing your family member into this home. I would not recommend.
The Sanctuary was instrumental in providing the conduit for my husband to retain a parent-child relationship. The stress of caretaking being removed from his plate allowed him to focus on simply enjoying time with his father and giving space for a re-establishment of a loving and caring relationship. The Sanctuary was very communicative and empathetic in coordinating care even after he was moved to hospice.
