Premier Assisted Living in Greenville, NC
To date Navion of Greenville has been a game changer for my mother. Having moved her from a near by community, The care she receives at Navion is much better. The administration and care givers keep a close eye on her and respond quickly and professionally when assistance is required. When I call with a question or issue it is dealt with immediately and communication continues until Navion and I are satisfied, and mom is comfortable. If you need assisted living for a family member or close friend my sisters and I recommend Navion, a professional company and business model for the elderly.
Mom just moved here and is loving her new home. The community is alive and active,,the food is good and the staff is attentive.
Clean, caring, patient focused community with an excellent, professional staff.
Always great
The first impression of The Navion is its great curb-appeal, with well-kept grounds, flowers, and several bird feeders/bird houses around the property. There is a welcoming covered front porch with plenty of seating for visiting or just enjoying the outdoors. Enter through the secure front door, and the bright, extra-large living room awaits, just outside the large dining room. The living room is well-appointed with plenty of seating, a piano, a rotating media slide show, a fireplace, two bookcases with many curated books, and music is often playing. Residents gather here in preparation for meals, various get-togethers, or just for visiting. The room is so inviting and peaceful. The dining room is equally impressive, with linens and flowers on every table. The building is laid out in a square shape, with a center courtyard open to the residents. Each apartment has a door decoration or wreath commensurate with the resident, along with a personal nameplate. It should be mentioned that all of the rooms are private rooms – no roommates here – with locks for privacy (although administrators can enter the room with a master key, and nurses check on your loved-ones several times daily). You can’t get lost in here – if you lose your way, just keep walking and you will eventually find your room! Ahead of the living/dining room is the nurses’s station, and just adjacent to that a bright, gorgeous sunroom with wicker furniture and bright cushions awaits. This room opens onto the courtyard, which is the real gem: green grass, flowers, bird feeders, benches, chairs, and even some vegetables and herbs are grown here. Paradise! At the back of the building is the large activities room, where there are games, puzzles, more books, a popcorn machine, and a large TV for showing movies.
If medical care is a concern, The Navion is located in the heart of the medical district in Greenville. One can feel secure in the fact that robust medical care is never far away.
Aside from the gorgeous accommodations is a full and varied activities schedule. Residents are free to join as much or as little as they wish, but everyone is welcome, and the wonderful activities director strives to provide many enjoyable endeavors including bus trips, BINGO, various games, outside entertainment brought in-house, art, music, the bookmobile, etc., and there are regular activities that include the residents’ families as well. One would be hard-pressed to get bored here! Think: low-key cruise ship, and you’ve got the right vibe.
But most important are the people. The staff are professional, personable, accommodating, and very friendly. The residents are equally lovely people to get to know. My mom has been here for almost three months, and I seriously want to move in here with her, it is that good. Did I say “world-class”? I think I did…
