We foster a community dedicated to worship, fellowship, and outreach, aiming to serve God and the community effectively.
As a parish of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, Our Lady of Grace seeks to know and share God’s Word, live as a community of Christian disciples, devoutly celebrate the Holy Mass and other sacraments, provide a prayerful environment for all people, and serve the poor and those in need in Christ’s Name. In this way of life, Our Lady of Grace Parish looks to Mary of Nazareth as its model and patron.
Father Kirby’s approach to Catholicism is remarkable. I love the fact that he offers historical context of why Catholics do what we do and how he ties the old testament, new testament and gospels together, relating them to our own lives and how we should be conducting ourselves.
He’s not for the “faint of heart” and if you are coming from a church that coddles and accepts poor behavior, his mass and homilies will surely drive home Catholic Doctrine.
I am glad we found Our Lady of Grace and Father Kirby. He has definitely made us take closer examination of our spiritual well being.
Very disappointing. New to the area & attended mass for the first (& only) time. Mass was not a celebration. The experience left me & my wife dispirited rather than uplifted.
Worth the 35-40 minute drive. This priest is an excellent communicator and learned in how the church is practicing relevance in the old and modern times. Jesus lives and thrives here. Merry Christmas!
