At Paradise Village, residents enjoy a vibrant lifestyle with a variety of senior living options, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Post-Acute Care. The community offers numerous amenities and activities designed to promote socialization and overall well-being.
Paradise Village is a resort-style retirement community set on 12 beautiful acres near the Pacific coastline in National City, part of San Diego’s South Bay.
I have lived at Paradise Village for 6 years.
From the day we walked through the front door and were greeted with
a warm smile and hello .
To the consultant who gave us an overview of price and
various apartments to choose from based on our needs.
To our walk around to observe the happy outgoing Staff and busy
people
To the tasty and enjoyable lunch as we watched the Interaction between the
Servers and the residents .
To coming back the next day and signing the paperwork.k
To why such a snap decision? clearly those living and working here were happy.
We moved in a week later.
I call Paradise Village a Cruise Ship that never leaves port.
And like a Cruise ship we enjoyed all the activities, parties and made
wonderful friends .
Sadly my husband Norton passed away 2 years later but unlike beings
alone in my house with our children concerned about my being alone
I was surrounded by friends .
And then the Light Bulb moment of reality ! What a wise decision
we made that day 6 years ago to move here.
Update 2025
I am starting my 12 th year here at Paradise village and everything I put in my first post is exactly the same as today except it’s now been 10 Years since my husband Norton passed away. Sometimes I’m so busy here with one one thing after another and I actually have to. put myself in time out for activities and needless to say the Christmas and Hanukkah activities here were amazing and then of course New Year’s Eve but what makes PV such a wonderful place to live is it is truly a village of kind, friendly and fun people both residence and staff. This is my home filled with friends every step I take ..I could live with anyone of my 4 Daughters in Las Vegas, Tucson Atlanta Georgia and what what I do all day and where would my independence be I love my girls, but I like my independent living and activities to keep me busy and mind active. That’s why I love it here.
Outstanding amenities and happy helpful staff and residence. Clean and safe grounds and interiors. Easy to get around and so much to do for fun and socializing. Many at many exercise programs free. Wonderful swimming pool And also a dog park.
It’s been 6 months and we are still struggling with staff that doesn’t know how to make a bed. There seems to be no training program and poor communication between management and staff.
My four years in Independent Living here at Paradise Village have been wonderful. I toured 12 similar facilities in the San Diego area and this one “checked all the boxes” of what I wanted: from my own washer/dryer to garaged parking. Once moved in, I began to experience the very friendly working staff, accessible department managers, a feeling of personal safety with a 24/7 security staff, the on-site maintenance crew that helps in many ways, plus plenty of varied social opportunities to fit any resident’s idea of fun and relaxation. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
I have lived at Paradise Village. It is my home. I feel secure in knowing the management and staff are here for me and they have, in fact, enriched my life. Other residents are among those I call friends. Combine this with a variety of activities, healthy meals, and just plain fun, there is no better place to live. Good leaders, good friends, and careful attention to senior needs makes my decision to move to Paradise Village a smart move.
