  1. Compassionate, Skilled, and Exceptional Care at The Pines of Sarasota

For nearly two years, my husband was a resident at The Pines ( Skilled Nursing) and in that time, I witnessed firsthand the incredible care, professionalism, and kindness of the ENTIRE staff. Being there almost every day, I got to know them well, and I can truly say they are some of the most dedicated and compassionate caregivers I have ever met.

They treated my husband with dignity, respect, and warmth, always going the extra mile to ensure his comfort and well-being. Their expertise was matched only by their kindness, providing not just excellent medical care but also genuine human connection.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but knowing he spent his last years in such a caring and supportive environment brings me great comfort. I am deeply grateful to The Pines and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of skilled nursing care.💜💜

  2. They recently took away menu options for residents. The food was so bad before, now it’s even worse that the resident are forced to eat frozen Chinese and chicken hard as a rock. Most of these residents cannot cut their own food. Which makes it so sad that they are stuck not eating. They get an option for an “alternative” meal. Like a piece of bread with ham on it. Prison food is better than this place. They are extremely short staffed and the owner could care less about his residents. He sits in his office all day and doesn’t even try to relate to any residents. Today it took over an hour to get residents back to their rooms after lunch because there isn’t enough staff to take them back. Even tho most of them didn’t even eat lunch. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Building is nice, but how about putting some of that “non-for profit” dollars into an actual kitchen staff? Food is a major source of mood with people in general. You take away that, the more people you end up on Zoloft and refusing to eat. Unacceptable. When paying over 13k a month this is just stupid! Need a new board of directors. Not to mention, nobody was checking on my significant other and noticed bed sores on her heels! Now that’s gonna take a year to heel.

  3. After a brief waiting period, I had the opportunity to transfer my mother to The Pines Memory Care Facility from another institution, and the disparity in quality and care between the two establishments is remarkably profound. The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at The Pines are commendable. They promptly respond to requests, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and dedication. It has been heartening to witness staff members across various roles exhibiting genuine compassion and care towards all residents.

I am particularly grateful for the open communication maintained by the nursing staff and other caregivers. They proactively contact me with updates regarding any changes in my mother’s behavior or well-being, ensuring I am fully informed and involved in her care. The administration has been incredibly accommodating, extending invitations to care planning meetings and willingly adjusting schedules to suit my availability, which has significantly enhanced the collaborative approach to my mother’s care plan.

Observing my mother transition from a state of confusion and discomfort to feeling settled and at home within her room has been profoundly reassuring. The cleanliness of her living space and the facility’s communal areas is consistently impeccable, further reflecting the high standards upheld by The Pines.

The previous facility where my mother resided temporarily pales in comparison to The Pines in every conceivable aspect. I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity to have my mother reside at The Pines, and I highly recommend this facility for their exceptional care, professionalism, and dedication to residents’ well-being.
