As a 70 year old veteran, I needed to have procedure done at the VA hospital in Lake Nona FL. The procedure required me to have someone accompany me, and remain at the hospital and escort me back home.
I didn’t know anyone that could forfeit a whole day to accompany me. However the VA did provide me with an aide through a company called Right At Home. ( The VA covered the fees for this service THANK YOU). The person from right at home met me on the day of my procedure and stayed with me through the entire day . He and his company made me feel at ease and very comfortable throughout the the day. Also prior to the event, the company made sure to contact me and go over the scheduling ,and make sure all the paper work was in order. I highly recommend the services of Right At Home to any future needs by the VA and their veterans.

Right at Home has been an extremely helpful service for my father. He is 96 and legally blind but wants very much to live as independently as possible in his own home. Right at Home has helped our family do that for him. They allow him to do the things he is able to do and assist in things he can’t. They also provide companionship and support as needed. I highly recommend this agency to anyone who needs some help at home for themselves or their family.
When my parents moved to Florida from MO we knew they would need help. My Dad has Dementia. We found Right at Home and met with Kurt to start service. We quickly went from 4 hours a day 7 days a week service to 10 hours a day 7 days a week service due to my Dad’s advanced stage. Right at Home has been amazing. They have worked with us to give the kind of care that my Dad needs along with the help and support my Mom needs. If you are on the fence about trying an in-home caregiver, give them a try. We had A LOT of requirements early on because my parents were living in the upstairs suite of our home. They had to enter and exit through our home and transition my parents downstairs using a chairlift. They also did not have a kitchen upstairs, just a refrigerator and microwave with us helping with meals downstairs. But they made it work until we transitioned them to their new place. Whatever your needs are, Kurt and his team will do whatever they can to make it happen if it’s within their capability. Just be open about what you need, be honest about your expectations, and be flexible about any adjustments to get the fit you want. You will not be disappointed. It has been life-changing for my Dad, my Mom, and my wife and I. Make the call. We highly recommend them. Oh, and they are VA approved – another HUGE bonus for my Veteran Dad.
My Mom has been using Right at Home Services for several months now, more recently though after coming home from a hospital and rehab stay. Kurt has been nothing but genuine and kind since our first meeting. The other staff that answer the phone are super responsive and friendly.
The ladies that have come to assist Mom have been just wonderful helping Mom with personal needs and whatever is being asked for that particular day.
They have been a godsend to help my Dad as he is the main caregiver. Way to go Right at Home! I would definitely consider giving them a call for your home health needs.
