I can’t say enough good things about Sage Valley Senior Living. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew this was the right place for my mother. The level of care, compassion, and professionalism shown by the entire team has been nothing short of extraordinary.
A very special thank you to Alicia Jackson, the Resident Care Director, whose dedication and attentiveness have brought me so much peace of mind. The care she provides my mother is deeply personal, thoughtful, and filled with love—and that makes all the difference.
Amber Turner, the Executive Director, sets the tone for excellence with her professionalism and top-notch leadership. You can feel her influence in every part of the community—from the warmth of the environment to the efficiency of the operations. My mother literally would not be here if it weren’t for her.
And to the incredible caregiving staff—Sergio, Jacob, Tess, Oliver, Sade, Shamoyra, and so many others—thank you for being the heart and soul of Sage Valley. Your kindness, patience, and consistency do not go unnoticed, and I am endlessly grateful for all you do every single day.
Sage Valley isn’t just a senior living facility—it’s a place where people are truly cared for, seen, and valued. I’m so thankful my mother is in such loving and capable hands.
My parents moved into Sage Valley last fall. The staff was very welcoming and rolled out the red carpet, literally and figuratively. Once they were settled, Lamonica came in and spent some time getting to know them and where they came from. She was so friendly. Within a few months, my stepfather was facing his final illness. Alicia, Lamonica, and the caregiving staff were amazing. They stepped up care with the help of Hospice to provide final care for him, but to also care for the wellbeing of my mother as she was going through her grieving process. The staff at Sage Valley has been wonderful in how they care for and relate to the residents. My mother has really flourished since moving to Sage Valley.
My mom has been in Memory Care here since June 2024. The facility is clean and bright; mom especially loves the outdoor space. There have been staff turnovers since she arrived, but the staff currently there are wonderful and caring and have worked to get to know mom well.
The star is for the food. Good food. Although, when we were told snacks would be available each day that did not happen. There is a difference in the atmosphere and assisted-living and MEMORY CARE. I will speak to MEMORY CARE. Leadership changed frequently while we were there. Following care plan did not happen. Activity directors came and left. Resident placed in front of televisions or they just set at the dining area. Even when given specifics about The resident history, likes and dislikes, ways to engage and more , it was rarely Adhered to. Care of his health, not consistently followed. Workers not Aware of DNR.
If you are wanting to drop off a family member and MEMORY CARE and show up once or twice a month then it really doesn’t matter where you have them. But, if you are attentive to that, loved one and visit frequently this is not the place for you.
I so agree with Shelly and Kathy. Pretty isn’t everything. Administration changed too much to really make a good change. We were there with my father thru 2 administrators and at least 3 Memory Care directors, in the short span of 10 months. There were hardly any activities and we were there about every day so I do know from seeing the lack of interaction for myself. We were told my dads needs could and would be met. Hearing aids, Inogen oxygen, were two of the things very important to his care. Most of the time his hearing aids were in wrong, so he couldn’t hear what was going on and many times the battery in his Inogen needed charging. If you are looking for Memory Care, remember this is an area where MORE time should be spent with the residents and we did not experience this while my dad was there.
Please look beyond the pretty. Tour many times unannounced.
Listening by the administration is important but action is what matters and action is what we didn’t see much of. they also said his teeth would be brushed twice a day and didn’t do that either.
Also any comments 10 months to a year ago really can’t be relied on. All staff is different now or they are still trying to find staff to fill vacancies.
I wish the new sales director luck and remember YOU are the one selling the would be residents and their families on Sage Valley and on what they say they will do for Memory Care and AL. Will see in about 5 months what the residents families say.
