We moved my mother into Silverado over a year ago. She was living at a different memory care facility that didn’t understand the progression of dementia and how to address those changes as they happened. Since moving to Silverado, she’s been treated with dignity, love and respect by the entire staff. She feels safe and understood. The staff is wonderful and they work to create a very welcoming atmosphere that makes our loved ones feel at home, as well as family and friends who visit. I am so very thankful that Silverado exists and can’t recommend them enough.
I cannot say enough about the amazing people who run and work at Silverado in Tustin. Watching your mom struggle with dementia is so painful. I would often come in to visit in tears in the beginning. However when I observed the beauty and kindness of this home I was comforted. My mom also felt at peace and seemed to be happy. I cannot thank the staff at Silverado for making the last month of her life so special. Thank you so much!!!!
I placed my husband at Silverado Tustin Hacienda after dementia complicated his Parkinson’s diagnosis and I was unable to provide for his care and safety, at home. The nursing staff was compassionate and insightful and made changes to his meds and even some adjustments to his routine to provide him some comfort from the anxiety and pain he was experiencing. Silverado’s policy to have a member of the medical team on site 24/7 was incredibly reassuring to me. Someone is always there to address his unexpected needs and hear my concerns and questions. From his first day at Silverado, the caregivers welcomed my husband and I felt they intentionally worked at getting to know him. They give him the care and feelings of safety he requires. I could never have enough positive words for their consistent compassion and perceptive awareness. Staff members in every category from caregiving, nursing, and resident engagement to culinary, housekeeping, maintenance and administration consistently treat him as a
family member…with kindness, respect, and a sincere caring.
Dementia is a cruel journey for families as well as their loved ones. Every bit of understanding and empathy makes the journey
a bit less painful. I will always be grateful that Silverado Tustin continues to be there for both of us.
My mother has been living at Silverado Tustin MCC for 4 months. I can’t begin to express how wonderful our experience has been. The entire team there not only provides loving care to all of the residents, they were also instrumental in making my mom feel safe and happy as we transitioned her from her own home. It takes a special type of person to choose to work at a MC Facility, the caregivers, nurses, administrators at Silverado are all blessed with servants hearts and provide the residents there a dignified quality of life they deserve. Silverado is my moms new HOME and our family is forever grateful that she is there.
