Used to be a nice place. But unfortunately lack of a good and steady maintenance crew along with an unfortunate management’s lack of ability to continue to keep up this facility up and running smoothly has gone to the wayside. We used to go on outings and had multiple things to do so as to stay busy versus sitting around growing a “tap root” to your recliner. But over time it has steadily deteriorated and I used to brag about this place to other people about how cool it was and all the stuff we got to do, but I couldn’t do that now with a clear conscience and have someone else go through what we’ve unfortunately had to go through for the last 4 years. Don’t even mention the lack of water pressure on the apartment complex. I called the city of San Marcos and had them send a technician out to check on it and he said “on the street you have 110lbs of water pressure. But on these premises there’s about 55 pounds of water pressure and that’s if no one is using the system. You know washing clothes and doing dishes and washing their porch off. Showering is not much fun as the water is really hard and dries your skin out. There’s not even enough water pressure here to break down ketchup and mustard off of you dirty dishes. The only way I have found to rinse them off is with pure hot water and no cold water. I use a sink screen and keep all foreign objects out of the drains as to not add to the already pitiful drainage problems and water pressure that we don’t have any longer. Sure don’t want to add anything down the drains that could cause even more problems. Me being a private chef has made it to where I can no longer be able to do this.!! I would tell my worst enemy to come and start a new lease because they would deserve it, but certainly not any friends of mine, not now unfortunately. And I would get to know someone and then they die. And then you get to know somebody else and they die. Gets sort of disheartening after awhile and you start to say “why get to know someone when they’re going to die soon”.? Anyway when I move away from here it will be for me a relief and a lesson learned. Too sad to think about it.
My grandma lives here. She likes it. I wish they would keep it up better. They used to offer weekly bingo for the residents but it now 2 times a month.
