Complete chaos.
1. The first week in, my smoke detectors decided to make my life miserable. Called at 3 am, told they’d come ASAP but couldn’t give me a time. After an hour of being wide awake, I took them down myself and went back to bed. They showed up at 8 am. Four visits later in a week and a half, they finally figured out it was the detectors themselves causing the chirps. They just needed replacing. My wife couldn’t reach the ceiling, so I had to leave work twice to handle it. No rent discount for the hours I missed, though.
2. The elevator went for months without its “license” renewed. The sticker they put on it expired, then suddenly it’s backdated to 2023. I should’ve snapped a picture to prove it.
3. I chose this complex because of the fancy security doors. After 3 months, they broke, and it took 3 more months for them to fix them. They worked for a day, then quit again. Now we’ve got cables hanging out, missing handles, and a bunch that barely work. Imagine trying to open the door with groceries in the summer. It’s like playing a game of “which door will open today?”
4. The apartment is built like it was made from bargain bin materials. My bedroom door doesn’t close anymore, countertops are chipping, and the drain just won’t drain properly. Classic.
5. Recently traded in my car and didn’t think about the parking sticker. Now they want to charge me $100 to replace it. “It’s in the lease.” Sure, but $100 for a sticker? Also, they asked if I “ripped it off and had it”. If I did, they’ll replace it for free. What difference does that make? Come on.
6. Management claims they’ll give you plenty of notice for maintenance, but they tell you that maintenance can come at any time over the next 5 days. A whole 5-day window where anyone can walk in. When they do show up, they knock once, shout “maintenance,” knock again, shout again, and then open the door. You might be in the shower, only to find a stranger in your living room when you step out.
7. The public bathrooms, like at the clubhouse and by the jacuzzi, don’t either have toilet paper, soap, or paper towels. Are we supposed to bring them with us? The larger bathroom even has a sink and paper towel dispenser… but no soap dispenser. Genius.
8. Need something urgent? Good luck getting ahold of the front lobby. They’re clearly understaffed, probably saving an extra $2400 a month. Why is that a thing?
9. The gym is “cleaned regularly,” but not regularly enough or properly. Also, what gym doesn’t have music? One of the rules is no personal music unless it’s through headphones. So, if you don’t have your own music, be prepared to enjoy the sounds of other people grunting and groaning.
10. The amenities like the jacuzzi and the game area close way too early. Why not have security and keep them open later? We pay for this clubhouse, and it’s only open for 9 hours a day? When people work? Ridiculous.
11. Management sent an email last month saying they’d be checking the cameras to catch anyone not picking up their dog’s poop. A month later, there’s poop everywhere. Want to go to the small dog park? It’s like walking through a minefield.
We’re paying $2400 a month for this? There’s no way I’m renewing once the lease is up.
I had a virtual appointment with Hannah and she is so amazing! Very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.
Had a great tour with Hannah some time ago! Even though I was SUPER annoying with all my questions (I blame the PTSD from also working in property management). Hannah did a great tour, answered all my little questions, and was very humorous. Though we ended up purchasing our home, I recommend to all my friends who are looking to see Hannah!
Best apartment living option in the area by far. Staff has been very responsive and helpful. Impressed by the level of maintenance around the community
I probably would never live here.
