The staff at The Ridge Post-Acute from the nurses, cna’s, therapist, and office personnel, to many to mention by name are top notch.. I was there almost 2 months and they treated me like I was a member of their own family with dignity and respect.. I would definitely recommend anyone considering a rehabilitation facility to choose The Ridge Post-Acute you won’t be sorry…
Gretel thank you so much for your tlc with my friend. Your team is excellent.
My grandpa was sent here after having pneumonia and recovering from being intubated. He had trouble breathing but had been stable so he was released from the hospital and sent to the ridge for rehabilitation on March 27th 2024. He was there for 5 hours before they had to call the ambulance because his oxygen levels were dropping. The man in the room with him was being discharged and when paramedics came to get my grandpa the man (his roommate) was not able to access his room. He talked to my mom outside and told her that my grandpa kept pushing the button for the nurse and told her he couldn’t breathe. The nurse told him to stop pushing the button for her and that he was bothering her. I am absolutely disgusted by the way he was treated there. It angers me how healthcare workers can be so shallow. If this is how you can treat a human being, the job isn’t for you. My grandpa passed away 2 months later and I hate to blame anyone but my family and I took turns advocating and staying by his side and the amount of times I saw healthcare workers treat him badly and not follow instructions for his recovery was shocking. This place needs better management/ healthcare workers and in general for anyone looking for an acute place or has a loved one in the hospital, advocate for them as much as you can, speak up, and do your research. Not all acute places are clean but most importantly look for places that are going to get your loved ones the true care and motivation they need. Not this place.
Also watch out for reviews from students and staff from rehabs. They mean nothing.
There are not enough words to describe the wonderful experience I had at The Ridge Post Acute. To all the staff, from the nurses, CNA, Rehab team. I felt at upmost at home although I am almost 3 hours away. Will forever cherish all the memories they now have a special place in my heart.
