My experience with the Atrium is nothing less than excellent. From the facility, dining, nursing staff, staff member’s and activities was nothing less than extremely professional and comforting. The treatment that my father received during his time there from ALS care through memory care was exceptional. Nursing staff treated him as their own family member.
Administration director Lori Rosario. And John Zimmerman and their staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They made his transition easy non stressful and made him feel welcomed into his new home.
I highly recommend the Atrium.
Do not be fooled by the cleanliness of the Atrium and their sales pitch. The Atrium does not take care of your loved ones. There is no assistance in this assisted living facility. My loved one had several incidents at this facility (falls, caregivers hiding in the room, no night checks, and other incidents) When i brought my concerns to the attention of the Director of Nursing and the Director of the Atrium, they disagree, deny and dismiss all my concerns and advise “get a camera in the room” We don’t have any witnesses. My loved one had fallen and had a broken wrist and wasn’t sent to the ER until next day. When I confronted the Atrium Director her response was “do you want me to call the ambulance every time there is a fall”. There is no empathy, no compassion, no sense of humanity from the people who are supposedly in charge.
The Director of Nursing never returns phone calls, never acknowledges your presence, is too busy eating at her desk to answer any questions. There are no night checks when they state they do. When contacting the Regional Office with my concerns and complaints, the only answer I receive is “training is being addressed for the staff”. It is difficult enough to put your loved ones in an assisted living facility. It is even more difficult when you have concerns at the facility, and they do not get addressed by the people supposedly in charge. My advice, if you are looking at the Atrium for your loved one, please find another facility!
Best food and great pricing. Rita is amazing. and did a fabulous job catering our holiday event as well. Couldn’t recommend a better place!
