I thought this was a Rehab Hospital. It ended up being a nursing home, and not a good one. It took a while for the nurses to answer the call button. Some of the staff had bad attitudes and acted like they were doing me a big favor just doing their jobs. I thought, “This must be what it’s like to be in a nursing home, and this is supposed to be one of the best!” I started praying that I would never end up in nursing home!
Thankfully, my doctor told me Edgemire was not a rehab hospital. The social worker got me moved to a real rehab facility the next day. Finally, I’m in the right place.

Plaza at Edgemere, isn’t home away from home for me, going into Plaza each day is like going to my grandparents house, I feel the love. I love being a part of the Plaza management team, challenging ourselves daily to be even better than the day before. I moved to Edgemere from Atlanta nearly five years ago when my husband died. Other than my daughter and her family, I knew no one. Within a very short time, I had a number of close friends. The people at Edgemere are so gracious and friendly, and there are so many activities. You will find many people with similar interests to yours. I had a fantastic life in Atlanta, and this is equally as great….. actually better! I love this stage of my life, mostly due to living in the gorgeous place among dear friends. My advice is to not keep putting this move off. Do it while you are able to enjoy all Edgemere has to offer.
