A WONDERFUL community with real people taking care of each resident/family member like (and often better) than family – people like me alone to care for three disabled family members and no family to help, I’ve been amazed at the sincerity of everyone here from the very first conversation to my most recent needs, real – true – caring – humans. The rooms are spotless, he bathrooms are clean, safe and comfortable. The community room is amazing and the library/card room too. The dining room is cozy just like a family home not a “cafeteria” with a wonderful mealplan suited for the many health needs of its residents like my own relatives – high bood pressure, diabetes, high cholestrerol and much more! I can’t begin to imagine how they address everyne’s needs but they also allow fridges in the rooms and there are many stores in walking distance. When my brother recently needed to enter an assisted living facility, I was lucky to find Villa Rio Vista. I live in NJ and am currently not able to visit as much as I would like. The staff at Villa Rio Vista treats my brother like family and gives him personalized attention. Alex, Hannah, Nadia, and the rest of the staff assisted in making his transition to living at the facility very smooth. I am confident that he is receiving attentive and thoughtful care and that all of his needs are being met. The environment, the high quality meals that are provided, and the caring staff have made him feel very at home, comfortable and at ease there.
Villa Rio Vista provided excellent care to a family member of mine. My family was very thankful for the helpful caretakers and highly recommend Villa Rio Vista. Staff is very communicative and knows each resident very well.
We were totally blinded by the false promises and the false brochure. We took our beautiful 97 year old Mom there last year for what would be a continued year of mistakes, lies, getting wrong medications, and so much more. We had to hire our own private help to make sure our Mom got the help we needed. When we once asked for the filthy accommodations in her room to be looked after, we were told to get out within 45 days. The staff loved our Mom and were really upset when she was kicked out. All because we had a filthy room, bugs could come in a warped door we were told would be fixed for over a year, but never got fixed. Security was minimal, we were promised good food and it was awful and totally unhealthy. Forget it if you are watching you heart or Cholesterol. Nadia and Louisa were the ones who went out of their way for helping residents and the owner was out for his own agenda. We left the nightmare to go to a much nicer facility for the same price. It is actually amazing and such a completely different experience. So professional and we actually what we were promised at the Villa Rio Vista and never got. It broke our hearts to walk past the other residents at Villa Rio Vista and how poor the care could be. The odor or urine coming was so sad and well lots more to that story. Oh by the way we did not get meds for weeks a few times. They do not take you to drs appointments as promised in the brochure and the activities are non existent for the most part. We left the little room spotless and the owner still took part of our deposit without a word why. It truly is too bad and thankfully we are so blessed to have found Williamsburg where we receive 5 star living.
