Nursing care is provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants 24-hours a day. Our interdisciplinary team develops an appropriate plan of care for each individual in coordination with the physician’s orders. White Oak of Shelby is a 160 bed skilled nursing center conveniently located within a short drive from Cleveland Regional Medical Center. We provide long term nursing care, as well as short term rehabilitation in our designated rehabilitation wing.
My grandma was here for 10 years. She passed away 2 weeks ago thus I want to breakdown my thoughts of this place. First of all there are some nurses who really do care about their job and are sweet, but those are few and far between.As far as the care she received She was not bathed regularly, was often left without necessary pain medication, and had to endure completely unacceptable living conditions—including ants in her room and even rats.She could not feed herself good as she couldn’t really sit up. We asked for finger food for her so she can feed herself, but this request was always ignored so she went hungry some nights. This level of neglect is inexcusable. Families trust facilities like this to care for their loved ones with dignity and respect, but that trust was completely broken. If you are considering placing a family member here, please think twice. No one deserves to suffer in these conditions. I hope serious changes are made to ensure no one else experiences this kind of neglect.
They tell the families lies about everything. Admin are mean spirited, high turnover rate of CNA’s because they are being treated badly, under – paid, and over worked due to understaffed. Families need to come together and file formal complaints against them.
I’m staying at White Oak Manor shebly tonight and I fine it a great place! The nurses are great and so is the cna! You know they get really busy. You got to have alittle patience, they’ll be there soon! The food is great! A wonderful place to have rehab!
I absolutely loved the CNA class. The teachers are amazing. The facility is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to join Healthcare.
