First of all to the lady who complained about Spanish speaking, I would kind of like to point out that this is the United States of America and English is our native language I would not expect for anyone in Latin America or Spain or Mexico to learn English just to take care of my elderly family so why should we have to learn Spanish in order to care for yours ,also your mother is Medicaid, which means that she goes there for free ,not a dime comes out of your pocket for her to go there . you are complaining about free daycare , from people who care for and take care of your loved one while you’re not doing so. As far as the food goes I don’t think you know what you’re talking about because they have restaurant quality food done in a very small kitchen with minimal appliances and their cook is amazing and does her best to try to accommodate everyone in such a small space. The amount of things that she pulls off with the equipment that she has is nothing short of a miracle not to mention how hard she works to give your mother a Free lunch, paid for by English speaking people ,who pay taxes and work so don’t come for people because you’re free daycare, paid for by our government isn’t Spanish speaking and they don’t serve the right food, if you don’t like it take her somewhere else because it’s literally not coming out of your pocket at all ,the fact that you felt the need to come and complain about it just tells me everything I need to know about you as a human being and a person.
The staff is exceptional and they take wonderful care of their clients and treat them with dignity, respect and treat them like family, the repeat and return families are proof enough. I implore anybody to find a better, cleaner, more attentive group of people and get this level of care for free , I guarantee you will not!
They don’t have any Spanish speaking staff and all activities are done sitting down. There is no place where they can walk or get some sun, the latin people feel isolated. I’m looking for another place where my mother can share more with the members. Ther services is good, the food is the same as in ALF simple.
My 90 yr old mother visits Active Age at Chelsea Daycare twice a week. She enjoys visiting with her peers and getting out of the house. I am comforted knowing she is getting excellent care and supervision while I run errands, ect.

Amanda had been very helpful in getting us settled in. We love the activities director and the staff!!!!! They are so much fun and get the people moving. He is always smiling when he leaves!
