We empower caregivers with the knowledge, support, and programs to help them prepare for and cope with the challenges that lie ahead. Our organization offers a variety of peer support groups, counseling sessions, educational programs, and wellness events to help caregivers with the day-to-day tasks of caring for their loved ones, as well as maintaining their own health.
Since 1984, the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center (ADRC) has provided information and support to caregivers across Central Florida.
I learned about this wonderful organization through a presentation at Great Transitions. They mentioned that they are the resource to enroll dementia patients in the Mayo Clinic’s Brain Bank for research after death. I reached out, and they were extremely supportive throughout the process. I look forward to their help with caregiving as I help my partner on his Alzheimer’s journey.
This mighty agency does amazing things with a small, but extremely well informed team. They never charge for services and provide wonderful information to those requesting it. Their workshops are very informative, the support groups are so necessary and effective. Their many services are so needed in the Greater Orlando (Central Florida) area. They will help anyone who calls, joins a Zoom meeting, makes an appointment, or walks in the door. If you are caring for someone living with some form of dementia, or worried about someone (including yourself) or simply want science based, valid info, this is the agency for you.
