  1. UPDATE Dec 2024.. I am so thankful for Cypress Creek MC as I made the mistake of bringing my mom home in late October as she was thriving at CC and I thought I could finally take care of her. I was so wrong…. I have never appreciated all that they do every day for ALL their residents. Under my care (along with 2 hired caregivers) my mom declines right back to where she was before she entered CC. She was not leaving her bed and her memory went down hill fast. Mom will be returning to CC thanks to the wonderful staff who take excellent care of her. My Mom thrives at CC and loves it. There is NO PLACE better for your loved one. I made a HUGE mistake bringing her home and I am so thankful she is going back and will be happy, healthy and active again surrounded by people who love her like family.

Original post in Sept 2024 Cypress Creek sets the bar for assisted-living and memory care. You will not find a better facility anywhere. The staff are so wonderful to the residences and truly love them. They assess potential residents prior to moving in so you can be assured this will be the right facility and if it’s not, they will help you find the right facility.
My mom (99) moved here from another facility where she was just staying in bed all day and declining. I promptly moved her as soon as a room opened and within three weeks of living at Cypress Creek she is thriving again. Mom is stronger physically. She’s sharper mentally because she’s engaged every day with activities and people who support her and love her.
It was the hardest decision of my life, and also the best decision of my life

  2. This is the best place for your loved one. My 99 yr old Dad is there and I couldn’t ask for better care. I’m there almost everyday and I see for myself the care he gets. His skin is very thin and they attend to and needs when he get a skin tear. Everyone that visits him remarks how clean the place is and the staff is so caring and friendly.

  3. If there was lessten a 1 star rating I would use that. Just because a facility looks pretty and clean don’t let it fool you. My opinion is nobody should be put in bed at 5 PM and remain there till at least 7 the next morning, he can ujse the toilet with help but they say go in the diaper. I will not post the pictures that I have of an injury to my dads leg and the diry linens . It was NEVER reported to the POA until I opened the can of worms. And of course then they did not accept how this happen and tries to blame my 99 year old dad. Because I am not the POA and they don’t appreciate my comments they even blocked me on FB.

  4. Cypress Creek is a very clean facility and has great activities for their residents. The reason for the 2 stars is because my experience was not a positive one. My mother, a young 73 yo. with dementia was evaluated by the director while sedated at another facility and determined to be a good fit. I gave ALL true information in my initial interview about my Mom. I was never interviewed by the director. Within 7 days of her transfer multiple email conversations took place between myself and the director. I had one 24 hour update and nothing else until this started, and it was extreme. We agreed to introduce a new gel med cocktail to help with her extreme anxiety. This would later turn into a heavy cocktail within weeks and labeling my mother as psychotic and even an attempted Baker Act, where the police came to transport. My mother was sent back with a UTI diagnosis. I was pushed to hire a 1:1 at my own expense. We moved my mother to a small group home where she is thriving , off of all the meds, and in an environment that suits her. The day I picked her up she could barely walk. I was a given a huge trash bag of meds and had to hold and guide my mother out with zero assistance. Some environments are triggering for those with dementia and more care needs to be taken in determining if a resident is a good fit. If your parent or loved one has anxiety/ptsd etc please take the time to get an independent evaluation before choosing placement. Facilities are not designed for those with dementia who suffer from these types of things. They will be labeled Bipolar and psychotic instead.
