Since 1984, Day Haven has been a pioneer in developing services to support elders in their desire to remain at home for as long as possible. Our therapeutic activities, professional and caring staff, and our fun and supportive environment enrich the daily lives of our participants.
We were fortunate to have found Day Haven close to my parents home. My Mom enjoys her time there. The socialization among the staff & participants is truly wonderful. The staff is professional & you can see they love what they do. The day goes by quickly & keeps her engaged. Day Haven is a gem. Highly recommend the program.
My mother in law comes home so happy and tired from an active day! She may not remember everything she eats or all of the activities she does, but she comes home with little prizes and smiles.
My Mom, Kay has dementia and home care was not working out. She began attending Day Haven Adult Day Services in Ronkonkoma. Mom had trouble adjusting and instead of giving up on her the Administration worked out a special schedule to help her become acclimated.
The entire staff was caring, understanding and enthusiastic. Mom was kept busy with activities instead of watching television all day at home.
When Mom needed to move on to Assisted Living my Brother and I were at a loss. Day Haven gave us literature and guided us through the process.

My dad absolutely loved Day Haven! He only attended a short while because we needed to move him into an assisted living home, but from his short time there you could tell it was really helping him. He has dementia, and the activities and care they provide were ideal for his mental health. He would come home feeling elated and his mental abilities seemed sharpened as well. The staff is patient, loving and kind and they always met us with a big smile. We will miss them!
Caring staff. The one day at Day Haven is a most positive one for my husband. Although he cannot tell me what he ate or what he did, I can tell by his mood that he had a rewarding day. And I look forward to this one day a week of respite for myself.
