With 1.4 million veterans, Florida is proud to be the most veteran-friendly state in the nation. The FDVA is the premier point of entry for veterans to access their earned services and benefits.
The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs is dedicated to serving Florida’s veterans, providing access to benefits, services, and support.
I was so happy to be able to volunteer here. The facility is beautiful, so clean, the employees are so polite. Iris was so helpful in showing us around and just how she interacted with everyone.
This place is well kept, they have a beautiful birdcage and they have birds. I came with my church and really enjoyed spending time with everyone. I will be coming back regularly in these coming months. Thank you.
This place is clean. The staff was polite, respectful and helpful. I’ve visited 3 times. They have a large birdcage and wonderful decorations and memorabilia about the walls and hallways. It’s tough to find a place for loved ones that is acceptable, this is one of the best facilities I have visited.
After an exhausting search my cousin became a resident at Nininger. From my very first encounter at the front desk to the present 12/12/23 I have nothing but praise for the administrator Ms. Shannon, Ms. Sadie and the entire physical therapy department. Everyone we have encountered have been pleasant, concerned, caring, compassionate and nurturing to my cousin and all the other veterans we pass during our visits. The Alpha unit is very clean and cheerful. I visit often and I always feel welcome. They keep me informed of his personal needs and progress.
Ms. Rita and Ms. Jill in the activities department really try hard to make sure that the activities they plan for the veterans are interesting, engaging and inviting. Keep up the good work Ms. Shannon and staff.
Staff is super rude! The “nurses” talk to the family like children and then when you give them the same energy they call it a “threat” the administrators are no better Larry is the rudest administrator ever! It’s like where is the support for the family? This facility is a joke! They upset my mom so bad she had to be rushed to the hospital for a anxiety attack and not one time did the administrator ask was she ok all he did was bash us and told her we cannot return because his staff was threatened and the police was called, yes! Because they knew they were wrong and was scared!
Very disappointed with this facility’ Put my brother there with assurances about their care. He was kept clean and fed but not really properly followed regarding health issues. shameful
