  1. Needs an overhaul. Good staff but not efficient in patient care and attention.
Coming from care at SHH was a let down. I was in the Haven last year at this time and had a totally different experience. The staff is very very nice, but you need to give them a little boost and make them feel what they’re doing is wonderful.

  2. My wife had the worst treatment there. She layed in the bed for a week and no one ever checked her blood/sugar. The woman is diabetic.
She called me one night and said ,” she couldn’t reach her food”.
The day shift tried to be some what accommodating, however
The night staff is horrible. No response from the call button. The room she was in (107) had a sticky carpet which was never cleaned.
Yes, I did speak to the supervisor. He said he would “get right on it “. No change.
    Absolutely horrible place.

  3. Havens of Pensacola is a top notch Skilled Nursing Facility!!! Amazing staff, they are caring, passionate, patient and supportive. The residents look clean and happy! I would Definitely recommend having your loved one here!

  4. Haven’s at Pensacola was bought from Sacred Heart and the staff turnover and policy changes have resulted in a decline in the facility. The food before the change in owners was superb but has now deteriorated to a level that is not acceptable for the residents. The food quality is the most important moral booster one of these facilities can have. Not having milk for breakfast, limiting the amount of coffee a resident can have, and mash potatoes that are soupy, along with limiting portions all have resulted in the residents complaining. Please rethink your food service department and serve food that you would want to eat if you were confined to a facility 24/7. Have a patient advocate sample meals daily and ensure all supplies to prepare a meal are on hand. This requires effort by food service staff and proper funding. Increase the budget to make the needed changes and hold the kitchen staff to a higher standard. Also the food is now served on Styrofoam plates. Can you not continue to serve on plates and dishes? These residents are not at a picnic. Sometimes it’s the small details that mean the most. Just because you are the new owner doesn’t mean gutting all of the prior policies is an improvement. Regardless of your canned response to this review, you have issues you need to address. I would be more than happy to speak with the management regarding the decline in the food service department.
