Good residential living facility.
Was just touring the building with a friend who was hoping to move in. The building was very clean. All the residents we met couldn’t say enough nice things about living there. A few of the people had actually moved out for a larger place and came back because they love it so much here. They provide in-house activities like crafts and bingo. They have an area with computers that the residents can use. The courtyard was very nice and a great place to relax in spring and summer. My friend was called up from the waiting list and fell in love. She was totally looking forward to moving in, especially since they had an apartment available that was perfect for her. She’s in a wheelchair and the counters and stove were at just the right height for her. Sadly, after she was all set to move in, she was notified that a resident in the building decided to switch to that unit. It was devastating to her, and quite frankly, I find it totally insensitive to call someone to tell them you have a unit available for them and then give it to a resident. I feel the residents should have an opportunity at any available unit before someone from the outside is even called in and if no one requests it by a certain amount of time then it should be offered to someone on the outside. This seems to be the only community that offers a great life to someone who is basically trapped indoors throughout the winters. No other places even come close to providing such a clean, secure, and friendly lifestyle.
