I’ve visited Katella Senior a few times with my church. It’s very nice and charming. The fountains, outdoor areas, and dining area make it seem like you’re in Italy. It seems like a lot of the residents are friends, gathering and chatting.
It starts with a phone call. I’m in the beginning steps. I’m sure they are aware of negative reviews. But at least the kindness after my call was what I needed to inquire further.
We had my mother here for her last couple of years and it was ok. Well taken care of. Unfortunately my mother-in-law had been there for a couple years now after, my mom passed, and it has gone downhill.
The facility isn’t taken care of as well as it used to be. It needs a lot of tender loving care.
The overall care is poor. The staff has a terrible attitude. I don’t think they like to work there.
Look long and hard elsewhere.
Hello Carly, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. Covid has been so devastating for all of us and losing a loved one makes it all the harder.
Over the past several years I have known many residents of Katella Senior Living and all have benefited from the care of the staff. They have become like family to all whom I know are living there and I am grateful for their loving kindness.
