Magnolia Manor is a warm, inviting home for seniors that offers affordable family-style residential and assisted living care just minutes from the ocean in Daytona Beach, Florida.

After I removed my mom from this facility they withdrew another months payment 3 days later from my account and told me they would refund it back by way of a check in two weeks. It’s been 7 weeks and I have not received my money back and now my calls are being avoided. Be very careful when dealing with these people.
If there is ever a place in ALL of Daytona that you feel completely at ease leaving your loved ones it is without a doubt Magnolia Manor.
I had the honor of taking a tour. Ms. Katherine made feel so comfortable and spoke to me with such calm, warm reassurance that both my mother and her dog would be safe and well taken care of her.
They have a big, beautiful garden which in all honestly you would think God himself grew.
They have a large shelf filled to the brim with books and there is a theater room is so cool. I saw so many classic film posters such as The Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, Casablanca and Breakfast At Tiffany’s.
The staff is so welcoming and dedicated into taking care of your loved one.
I also know that my mom and her dog will be VERY safe there. They take a lot of precautions to make sure everyone is safe
The rooms are so clean. I didn’t spot any cockroaches (which are VERY common in nursing homes in Daytona).
I can’t wait to have my mom and her dog become residents at Magnolia Manor.
My only complaint is I wish I could give more stars because Katherine and the entire staff deserve more.
Having my dad move into Magnolia Manor was a huge mistake . He lived there for 2 months and in 2 months the medical staff allowed his medications to run out 4 times. The medical staff missed an order to discontinue a muscle relaxer that was replaced by one covered by his hospice insurance and over medicated him with both muscle relaxers for 15 days resulting in him falling 3 times and suffering a skin tear to his arm and increasing his chronic pain. 30 oxycodones came up missing at one point causing a delay in pain treatment for 3 days. He was supposed to be given a call bell pendant to use for needs/ emergencies. It took them 1 month to provide this to my dad. His room was left unclean for 1 month, the response I got was “ our cleaning lady quit” from the executive director Lauri . His air conditioning never worked correctly, he was told to leave his door open at all times and to sit under the vent to cool down. No one ever answered the phone after 530pm or on the weekends so if there was an emergency there is no way to contact anyone. The day I moved him out I witnessed 2 other residents asking for their meds and the tech telling them “ we must have run out if your meds over the weekend “ I also walked into my dads room and saw a pill container full of pills with another residents room # written on the pill container sitting in the middle of my dads bed. When I brought it to the attention of the med tech she said “ oh thank you I was looking for that”
This place is unsafe and very unprofessional. Not one time during any of these events did Lauri or anyone else call me. Lauri never ever returned calls. I had to get in touch with corporate and communicate with them for every thing. I feel like we were treated with no humanity and no compassion. This was a very stressful and difficult experience and I would never ever recommend this ALF. I work in the community and after discussing this amongst others in the area I am hearing this type of thing from many other people about Magnolia Manor. Please do your research and really look around and into the place you choose. It will save you a lot of stress and time. I honestly do not believe the good reviews on here are real they are not accurate and I feel strongly that they are put on here by the staff themselves or robots.
BEWARE!!!!
Last week we had the pleasure of touring Magnolia Manor. My three sisters and I are so impressed with this community! Catherine gave us great information and a thorough tour of the community and amenities. She introduced us to friendly and caring staff along the way. It is so clean and bright and pretty with coastal decor. Rooms are great size and hallways wide. Loved the courtyard, fireplace/TV room, ,dining room and Front porch sitting area . My sister is very excited about looking at making Magnolia Manor her new home..
We love Magnolia Manor! The staff is fantastic. They are professional, friendly, and very welcoming. My mother has been a resident for several years. She loves the food and all the friends she has made. We have been at several other assisted-living facilities in Volusia County throughout the years. This is by far, the best!
