Jayson and the entire staff have been extremely supportive and helpful during a very difficult time.
As someone who has worked in plenty of assisted livings and rehabilitation facilities as a travel therapist, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Over the holidays, my grandmother was sent here and the communication between my family and the nursing staff was very one-sided. I went by multiple times to get simple information that any head nurse should know off the top of her head. One of many examples of this, I went by to ask “why is she on oxygen? She wasn’t on oxygen prior days. Did something happen?” It took the nurse (Nurse Barbara) over an hour to acknowledge my grandmother’s call light and then come check. Trust me, I am fully aware of how understaffed the healthcare world is right now, but answering a call light should take no more than 15 minutes max. When she finally did arrive, the nurse told me she had know idea why she was on oxygen and was wondering the same thing. She then tried to check her O2 levels and couldn’t find a pulse ox. If your job is to take care of older individuals you are able to put them on oxygen, you should have multiple machines around to tell you oxygen levels. She then left to go find one and assured me she would be back. I waited another 45 min before I went and bought one and came back to check and she still has not returned. After multiple instances just like this, we placed her at Abundant Living Christian Village, where she is thriving. The staff there is amazing and Tamara the speech therapist is heaven sent. Now my grandmother is in the process of going home due to all of Abundant Living Christian Village’s help!
Let me add that the rehab team at Princeton was very nice and did the best they could with what they had to work with. The nursing staff is close to the worst I’ve ever seen.
The staff has hearts of gold and it is a beautiful assisted living.
