At The Fountains of Hope, residents enjoy the best of both worlds—personal privacy and professional support, all within a vibrant community. A personal tour allows prospective residents to experience the warmth of our community firsthand.
The Fountains of Hope is an assisted living and memory care community that provides a nurturing environment for seniors seeking independence along with the comfort and security of professional care.
Inexperienced and incompetent management results in emotion-driven decisions (rather than logical/rational) that can endanger the welfare of their residents. I’ll report healthcare violations with Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration to request full investigations. The formal complaints may take time to appear on the AHCA website. Beware of this facility. There are many better options. Qualified and experienced management is paramount. This facility lacks both. ***Edit after “owner response” Personally offended because your lack of basic management skills are questioned? (scheduling meetings and dispute resolution). Serve a 12 month trespass order, under false allegations, separating a son from his mother in her final life stage. A simple appeal to return my mother’s liquid handsoap pump and toothpaste has escalated to this? Horrible mismanagement in the senior leadership position. Beware. There was never bullying, intimidation, nor threats in any form. But that’s a convenient way to request a trespass notice.
Fountains of Hope is a lovely facility and my mother was very well cared for during her time there. Staff are very caring and attentive.
I gave only a three star rating due to the following-
We signed up mom to live in the beautiful assisted living side. Within a month of moving her in, the Director of Nursing at the time (no longer there) was constantly calling me with incidents/behaviors from mom. She continuously suggested a move to memory care. I was already anxious about such a lifestyle change for her and the added anxiety and worry I felt whenever the phone rang I feel was unwarranted. I needed kind gloves and I wasn’t getting that. A little more education for me from experienced geriatric caregivers should’ve happened and it didn’t. I started feeling harassed to make the move. We did end up moving her to memory care. Memory care is VERY different from the assisted living side we originally signed up for, but mom was still being very well cared for.
This is the main reason I decided to write the review. I gave myself six months after moving mom out of Fountains, and I am still feeling unsettled about the situation and how it was handled. So, enough time has passed…
Mom ended up in the hospital a year and a half after she moved into Fountains. The surgery she had caused her body to significantly weaken and she went to a skilled nursing facility to recover. Fountains sent the salesperson and a brand new nurse to evaluate mom at the facility prior to moving back home. Based on their assessment, they said she couldn’t come back. I find out at that point they had decided a few months earlier not to renew their Extended Congregate License.
When I signed mom up to live there they had the ECC license and mom was in the assisted living side. We even gave Fountains mom’s burial documents for when the time would come. I thought what we signed up for was going to be her forever home and they would take care of her no matter what, not kick her out. I wish they would’ve let families know about the change to their license when it happened. The elderly age and weaken and need more care as they get older. I am still baffled that assisted living facilities just kick residents out as their care needs increase.
Again, mom was very well cared for during her time there. However, we definitely did not get what we signed up for…
My mother-in-law has lived at The fountains of Hope for three and a half years and has received excellent care. I am completely baffled by those of you who are giving one star reviews because I wonder if we’re talking about the same place. As a Born Again Evangelical Christians I see the face of Christ in everyone who works there. Maybe there’s been a bad apple in the bunch, thankfully my mother-in-law has never experienced that.
If you’re looking for a well-maintained loving and caring community for your family or friend I would highly recommend The Fountains of Hope!
Update to my review, 2023 my mother in law lost her oldest son. When I called The Fountains of Hope to let them know, they immediately went to check on her. They were very caring and paid even more attention to her, if that was possible! Then a few months later, my MIL fell in her shower and needed 24 hour care. Again The Fountains of Hope went above and beyond to help us get the extra care she needed. When she passed away a few days later, they held a mini memorial service for her, so the residents could share memories of her and say their goodbyes. I can’t imagine my MIL spending the last 6 years of her life in a more loving, supportive and caring facility!!!
Amazing community with amazing staff! Feeble, the Executive Director, is clearly invested in the residents and community lifestyle. Every resident seems very happy and healthy! Beautiful building and design as well!
Fountains of Hope is a first rate operation: facilities are great – clean and taken care of well, staff is attentive, well trained, first rate and caring. Events are well done and inclusive. Food is wonderful.
