  1. Having a family member diagnosed with a brain disorder is challenging enough in itself. Fortunately we are at peace knowing they are bringing well cared for by the impeccable staff up in Memory Care. I am very appreciative of the responsiveness and overall communication with Monica, the units director. Monica has a great team working with her to include but not limited to Activities Director Jessica, Caroline, Tatiayna, Maggie and others. We also can’t forget Abraham who is there in a flash to ensure the facility is in working order.

Our family toured nine communities and found the world of assisted living is rather small. We feel more than confident and at ease with our family being here at the Lodge at Piner Road.

  2. Most concisely, YES, this is the place you want.
My extended family came together in a time of need, to make an objective decision on long term care. We used our experience and resources to search this region for the optimum solution to a myriad of complications, and all agreed that The Lodge had the answers. They work with our insurance, they have multiple levels of care, transportation, programs, theatre, salon, and much more. The lower floor appears as vibrant and inviting as a ski lodge, with staff readily available. (We took Mom to their restaurant for Mother’s Day, and it was so good that we will be back for our Thanksgiving dinner.)
The upper floor is more reserved, privacy is respected.
Dad, a naval officer and university president, was reluctant to move out of his home, but after touring The Lodge and conversing with their staff, and seeing their positive environment, he acquiesced. He lived comfortably there with no regrets! At age 95, Dad passed peacefully and staff helped us all the way through the process. I have a picture of a staff aide kneeling at his bedside, in tears at his passing, I can’t post it for privacy concerns.
Mom, at 95, has gone from a Masters Degree to needing memory care. The Lodge has a great Memory Care Unit, it is secure, on the second floor. While Mom’s short term memory leaves her living in the present, staff has been amazing in making each moment uplifting. I have witnessed them caring for her, giving loving attention. In the year I have spending time at The Lodge, I have dealt with dozens of their staff, they have ALL been great, in every department, except for one person and that person was weeded out quickly.
The Lodge at Piner has been such an incredible help to our family in such difficult times. Staff at every level have come up with solutions, and respected our decisions. They have truly cared for Mom and Dad.
Thank you all, you’ve made these precious days meaningful!
(To the reader: This review is just off the top of my head. There is so much more I can tell you, and when you tour The Lodge, you have my consent to ask staff to point me out.)

  3. Paul Peck gave us a great tour of the facility. He gave us different opinions, ideas and great information. He was very pleasant, very knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs and concerns. He is a great asset to your company.

  4. There is no comparing to the culture, professionalism and top notch communication here. Having a partner on the other end when it comes to the ever evolving needs of loved ones is quality of life insurance. This is a community built from the ground up, commitment from private ownership, managers who understand the industry inside out and WANT to be here plus the pleasantness of every single employee speaks for itself. We go through this process once or twice in a lifetime, the things that are most important are the least obvious, look anywhere else then come here and you’ll see, no place is perfect, the ability & performance is all that really matters, it is called a ‘CARE’ facility after all.
