My mom has lived at The Palms of Fort Myers for the last 7 years, moving from Assisted Living to Memory Care 2 years ago. At first I was hesitant to move her because my mom loved an aide named Ena who went out of her way to make my mom laugh. But the move to memory care, Bridge to Rediscovery, was truly best for her needs. Down in “BTR” she was made to feel welcome by Carmine and Marie. To this day they provide a level of care that feels personal and loving. And Ena still stops down occasionally just to say hi and give mom some love and laughs. There are many wonderful people at The Palms, but these three have really risen to the top for us. Thank you ladies!
My Mom had a short stay at the Palms and I have to say the care and kindness in taking care of her was awesome! Staff was marvelous! If we needed anything, we checked with Elaine or Maxine at the front desk and they were more than accommodating in helping us resolve our issue. Thank you for making my Moms time there, although short, a memorable one.
I have had my mother and my aunt stay at the Palms. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly starting with the front desk Elaine went above and beyond her job helping us adjust and was always so nice and caring to my mom and aunt. I love how she knows everyone who lives there.
We have experience with the memory care and assisted living areas.
The facility is clean, bright and very active. The staff is wonderful and incredibly loyal. My parents have been there over a year and have built amazing bonds with the Palms community. We are so thankful for everyone there to have made this transition comfortable for our parents.
Re: The Bridge to rediscovery (memory care unit):
My loved one is very well taken care of by a very caring well trained/experienced staff. She has everything she needs for good health/well being.
She also has a good quality of life as a resident in that unit.
There are activities everyday (therapy dogs, arts/crafts, music, trivia, fun chair exercises) which she participates in and enjoys. She’s made friends. She likes the staff. She likes the food and the dining room.
I like that we can eat meals together in the main dining room. I like the happy hours with live music that we attend twice a week.
The thing that I like the most is that my loved one is not alone or lonely.
